Very good, the cream cheese danish was better than the kouign amann. I don’t know what they do to their cream cheese but it’s something special. I also got a decaf Americana and you’d never know it was decaf, so yummy! Lastly, we shared their chicken pesto sandwich and it was fantastic, the bread looks hard and doughy but the outside has the perfect amount of crunch and gives so you aren’t struggling to take an appropriate ate. Will definitely be back.

Very good pastries. The mushroom and leek quiche is delicious and it comes with bread & butter and a salad, and a very generous portion! The Borgia Cafe was super delicious. Good amount of tables and counter inside , as well as a good number of tables outside. Definitely a place to go back again.

One of our favorite spots for food, coffee and pastries. Expect a line at almost any time of the day. Have to wait in line to order pastries, food, coffee… but it’s worth it. Always a pleasure to visit, never had a bad experience. Very nice staff.

First visit, great variety of French type bakery goods.
I had the Chaupain burger ($17). Burger was very good, the salad was foo foo greens, with a light citrus dressing (just OK).
The dessert was a mixed berry Bateau ($6.25), was very good, fresh with Swiss cream.
My bottled flavored tea ($5) was just OK.
Table service was slow, the fresh iced tea ($4) should have been brought to the table right away, but I had to ask for it.

OMG where do I even start? Chaupain genuinely made me feel like I was in Paris—and to be honest, it was better than most places I’ve been to in Paris. I went with a friend, and even though the line looked a little long, it moved so quickly. I thought we’d be waiting at least 20 minutes, but we were helped within five minutes, which was such a nice surprise.
Their pastries are unbelievably fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate elfroy croissant and my friend had the cinnamon twist. We asked for them to be heated, and they came out perfect—warm, flaky, and so good. I had my eye on the pistachio croissant and the mixed berry bateau, but we decided to save those for next time (and there will definitely be a next time).
We also ordered large hot vanilla lattes, and the large is huge. For the price, it was honestly impressive. The latte itself tasted amazing—probably one of the best I’ve ever had in Orange County.
The service was exceptional. Everyone was so kind, and we genuinely felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. It was a little hard to find seating at first, but within about 30 minutes, seats opened up and we were able to move to a better spot easily since people were constantly coming and going.
Chaupain has easily become one of my new favorite places—an absolute must-visit.

The danishes are incredible also got a couple of the flavored croissants and they taste amazing! The elfroy and the pistachio to be exact. Their baguettes are so good they’ll make a Frenchman blush. All in all great experience and always a friendly crew. Will definitely come back.

My friend and I came here for breakfast for the first time and both got the sunrise croissant. It was the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in a long time. We met the manager Tami who is an absolute delight. We sat at the counter and watched trays of amazing pastries come out and be placed in the glass display as people were ordering. We also shared an apricot danish and a strawberry one with cream. OMG! The line was out the door the entire time. We are definitely coming back to try their lunch as well. Thank you Tami and your team for an amazing experience.
