Let’s begin with the halwa puri channay. This breakfast classic, a staple in many cultures, often promises a delightful start to the day. However, my recent experience was a bit disappointing. The halwa, while not terrible, lacked the rich, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes it so enjoyable. The puri was a bit too oily and not as crispy as it should have been. The channay, though decent, were nothing special. What truly soured the experience was the price. For the quality received, the cost seemed excessive. It left me feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth.
Now, let’s turn to the nihari, which was a completely different story. This slow-cooked meat stew was a true culinary highlight. The meat was incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, with a depth of flavor that only comes from hours of slow cooking. The garnish of ginger, green chilies, and fresh coriander added a delightful freshness. It was a hearty and satisfying dish that truly stood out. The nihari was, without a doubt, the star of the meal, a testament to the chef’s skill and a true delight to the senses.
Presentation: 7/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Seating: 6/10
Taste wise, it was high average. Went there for breakfast, ordered halwa puri platter, nihari and paey.. Halwa puri was good, puri were so thin that those were hard to make a bite (niwala), puris were breaking down alot, sp from centre part. It could hve been better. Aalu bhujia was just ok, Channa were fine, but seemed too much corn flour used in those. Nihari and paaey were just ok, not very outclass… But main fall took the lachha Paratha, it was way below average. It was so rubbery like (hard to chew). Seating was bit over crowded, tables were very close to each other. They had indoor seating as well, I’m talking abt outdoor seating. Price wise, it was bit costly. Overall it was ok to good visit.
I never roccomend this restaurant
They offer a wide variety of traditional Pakistani breakfast dishes, providing a flavorful experience for those seeking authentic flavors.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the portion sizes. The servings seemed smaller than expected, which didn’t quite justify the price.
Despite this setback, the service at the restaurant was commendable. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick to assist with any requests or inquiries. Additionally, the ambiance of the place was pleasant, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for diners.
I would still recommend this place for its tasty food, decent service, and pleasant ambiance.
