Heard great things from friends over the years but just never had the chance to make the trek to Beaumont to try out the place.
Cozy, French Canadian interior. Service was courteous and checked up on us a lot to make sure things were good.
The food was alright. Maybe I had higher expectations before coming. It was good for the most part. The banana bread latte… It tasted very much like a normal latte with sliced dried banana inside. I couldn’t taste any banana bread inspired flavour at least. Highlight was the Haricot Vert – lightly battered green beans was absolutely delicious. Almost like a French Canadian take on Japanese tempura. The Croque Monsieur I got was fine, the Chicken Sandwich the chicken was too dry for my liking.
While I enjoyed the ambience and service, I can’t say the food was good enough for me to make the drive back.

True hospitality and great food. I was not able to take a photo of the charming bakery but will do next time we visit. I ordered mussels in creamy garlic sauce which was awesome. The eggs benedict was also delectable.Will revisit and try the bakery next time.

My experience was wonderful. The person who hosted me was a very kind individual. The cherry vanilla danish I got and matcha was also good. Great atmosphere overall, I’ll definitely be back for their brunch menu.

I had the Beef Bourguingnon and just substituted the mashed potatoes with green beans. Simply amazing! I loved every last bite!
The star was this amazing Pinktini that hasn’t even come out on the new seasonal menu until next week. If you like pickles and beats, my gosh, it is phenomenal! If you try it, make sure you lift your glass to Erica for inventing it!

Amazing quality food here! Very happy to have tried this place and looking forward to coming back. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the overall atmosphere was relaxed. A perfect date night spot or place to catch up with an old friend. We got the bagel with smoked brisket which was done very well and the fries were nice. The tourtiere was wonderful as well and had great flavour. Ended with cinnamon bun bread pudding which was perfect. Overall the food was amazing and we look forward to trying more of the menu.

Fantastic place. By far the best in Beaumont and among my top five in Edmonton.
We ordered coffee – excellent. Chocolate croissant – tasted freshly baked. And a bagel – pretty good.
The inside is very nicely decorated. The outside terrace is perfect for the summer.
