Located on board a converted barge on Red Brook Harbor in Cataumet, MA, inside the Kingman Yacht Center, the Chart Room has long become a summer tradition for many. Some come for the breathtaking sunsets, freshly prepared entrees, and live, nightly entertainment at the piano bar. The Chartroom offers perfect waterfront views of the harbor and amazing sunsets. Come in for dinner or stop in for amazing mudslides the take window. If you’re pulling up to their dock there’s a $15 charge (27′ boat) and it can be busy because the place is incredibly popular.

The outside seating is lovely, where you get to watch the sunset. Considering how crowded it was, the service was really excellent. The food was good, tasty, and well prepared, but I was disappointed with the menu selection. It was a bit pedestrian, very “average”, and I expected more creativity in the menu. It was classic New England seafood… Scallops drowned in butter with breadcrumbs, stuffed shrimp, assorted fish that was baked or broiled, crab cakes, lobster. Nothing you couldn’t get anywhere else… Except for the gorgeous sunset, of course 🙂

Service was nice and friendly. Atmosphere inside was good. Food was tasty. I had the fish tacos. BUT why doesn’t this place have an air fryer? Especially when you order a lobstah roll? For chips it was Ruffles? Really?! What happened to not having Cape Cod chips? I mean we are on Cape Cod. I would come back here but with reservations and make sure to sit outside (it was warm and partly sunny). Parking is a b****. We got lucky after circling around for 5 minutes with traffic.

Great outside seating. Showed up at about 1pm on a nice day. Parking lot was just about full and a 20min wait for a table. Got seated after about 10min wait. Bloody Mary was strong/good. Noshed on apps. Perfect afternoon destination. Wait staff was great.

I want to give this 1 star just so no one will come here but I can’t in good conscience. The people, the ambience, the drinks, and the sunsets – are all amazing. Valet your car, grab a mud slide and enjoy the night!

Great place to eat with super service and music via piano player gave it a good vibe. Awesome waitress Martina keep out table of 7 happy all night. Would go back no problem as it’s on the shore with outside spaces too. We are inside.

Location is very nice. Good views. The food and drinks were extremely expensive for what you got. Cocktails were just ok, but mostly ice. Service kind of slow, but not terrible. Waitresses were pleasant. Overall, just O.K.
