Is it comparable to Michelin / Fine dining? No.
I would come here for views and relatively good food (I enjoyed Prime Rib & creamed spinach)
I made reservations to come on a Sunday night. I called an hour before my reservations letting them know I would be 20 minutes late due to a bad snow storm. I was told they could only hold it for 15 minutes and I let them know it was an hour drive in snow so it was hard to predict. Finally they said you are 20 minutes late and we will hold it. However when I got there the restaurant was half full so I could understand if being late affected other parties but it did not in this case so I am not sure what the hassle was over 5 minutes.
The server was very good and prompt. He did a great job of explaining the food and serving us.
I hate to say this like most Landry’s restaurants the food is just ok. I had salmon and my wife had steak. The only thing that was good was the caeser salad and bread.
The reason you come to this restaurant is the view. That’s it. Overall it’s not a bad place but for the price I am not sure I’d be back.
Update: So management reached out to me about the situation on my visit from 1/18 and today is 1/29 and left a message on my phone. I did not get to speak to the general manager but the message was very professional. I have not been back yet but I would be open to giving this place a second try and appreciate the call.
We went on his birthday and were seated with the most amazing view of the city!!
We decided to get the crème brûlée flight instead of the lava cake! Definitely a good decision!
Cocktails were generously poured.
The balcony’s unobstructed waterfront skyline views of NYC were stunning and as a local New Yorker, I found myself in awe — the views of the city from the New Jersey side are on another level!
The food was very delicious, and they had plenty of different options depending on dietary restrictions. The service was attentive and wonderful, they checked on us often and the wine was always pouring, never a dry glass. The venue could definitely serve as a large wedding venue, the seating was plentiful.
Overall, I had an enjoyable time and so did the rest of my coworkers. Probably one of the best restaurants we’ve had for a work event in a long time!
From the food and the cocktails, to the service and the view, everything is impeccable!
The view is of the Manhattan skyline and they have an outdoor section for you to use to take pictures or just enjoy the fresh air. The service is always excellent. And the food and cocktails are always on point.
This time, I came here with a group of 13 for my husband’s surprise birthday dinner celebration! I’ve been here a few times before with just him on romantic dates, celebrating our anniversary.
The way the staff accommodated our surprise was great, too!
Having his name on the menu was the perfect touch, as well!
Looking forward to many more dinners here!
The clam chowder and New York strip are absolutely delicious. You won’t find a better night view anywhere else!
The prices aren’t bad either.
We entered 40 minutes after our reservation time. The reservation system needs improvement.
From the waterfront scenery to the stunning natural light, everything about this venue elevates the moment. The couple had the most beautiful backdrop for their photos, and the space gave us so many options for candid, emotional, and posed shots.
If you’re planning a romantic dinner, celebration, or a proposal, Chart House is one of the best spots in the area. Highly recommend!
Food was just as impressive: the oysters were fresh and delicious, the steak perfectly tender, and the salad and soup both flavorful and satisfying. Everything came in generous servings, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
A perfect spot for both the view and the food — truly worth visiting!
