One of my favorite places in Lexington, amazing food for amazing prices. My favorites are the fish filet and the grilled cheese, everything I’ve tried from here is amazing, other than the soup which was cambells. Absolutely love this place though! Will be back a million times. Try the hush puppies too!

Food was amazing, met great staff such as: sum asian dude up front, and anthony. Atmosphere was awesome love hole in the wall joints like this, definitely will be back. Make sure to try the bacon cheeseburger. DO NOT try the fish sandwich unless u wanna be like a buckled barnacle at the bottom of a pirates leg.

I’ve been coming to Char’s for close to 40 years. This place used to be so good and the service was always at least decent. I went on 2/28/26 and it was the worst experience. Food was awful order was insanely wrong, not even close. Just a bunch of kids that don’t care working there. Will never go back.

I come here all the time. I absolutely love the banana ice cream and the footling hot dogs with the chili and slaw. The fries are phenomenal, and I love that the ranch is house made.
The only complaint I have is inside of the restaurant smells of mildew. But it is an old building.

Ok, what is this sorcery? It’s so good it’s unnatural. Those that know me know I adore the “hole in the wall” joints and local diners. I’m so thankful this spot is open late. And to those that recommended this spot, I’m forever in your debt… Again. Because now I’m going to be going here, a LOT. ❤️

I’ve been eating here since I was a little kid and still love to eat there today you can get pretty much anything you want including ice cream which are my favorite especially strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream if you are looking for a place to chill out with friends and family then Char’s is the right place for the atmosphere I know each day I drive by they are slammed packed Char’s Hamburgers is the best place for dinner and dessert come eat and leave with a smile and great food to talk about on the way home

I love eating at Chars and will go again after this, but this is unacceptable. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo which was $8.27. When I got home to eat I realized how small the chicken was- irritating for the price I paid, but I’d deal with it. I took a bite of the sandwich and couldn’t bite through the chicken because it was so hard! The entire piece of chicken had to be cut with a knife, since it was so hard…. This was not worth the $8.27 I paid for and hope this a one time thing.
