Ok, this is THE Mexican restaurant for vegan options!! The owner is (or was) vegan and I don’t remember the last time I had multiple (more than 2) vegan and gluten-free protein choices!!! Amazing, and they were done so very well! Food is authentic, flavors are terrific, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They are open late and it’s a family-friendly place. Something for everyone (they have plenty for carnivores). Come often, it’s a great place. I’ll be back.

This place is our new family favorite. Only went for the first time a few months ago and have been back several times since.
First, the service has been outstanding. Prompt, friendly, patient, and willing to work with me on a fairly restrictive way of eating. Stellar service around Oly is a rarity, so I very much appreciate it.
The food is fresh, delicious, with generous portions. Again, they went out of their way to accommodate my food preferences and exceeded my expectations. We’ve had a variety of dishes, and they have all been well done. My husband commented that the margaritas are good value for the price.
Finally, it’s such a delight to the eyes. I love the trees (especially during the holiday season!), the light fixtures, and the artwork. My son loved the high-backed booths, which were cozy for a small family meal out. My only suggestions would be to turn the lights down a tad, and to put a curtain on the kitchen entrance so the fluorescent lights don’t glare into the dining area.

We liked the atmosphere of this place. The decor is very nice, especially in the evening when the string lights are turn on. The wait staff are attentive, but not the friendliest. We had the Sante Fe chicken chimichanga and a vegetarian burrito with avocado. The Santa Fe tasted okay, meat was a little dry, and the outside was barely fried, no crispness to the shell, at all. Rice and beans, always good. The chips were cold and old, salsa was good, 2 heat out of 5, so you will feel it. The veggie burrito was okay, a 3 out of 5.

So happy to have found this place! Vegan options (yes, plural) with several different meat replacements and dishes to choose from. Very tasty, very large servings, and great atmosphere. The service was fast and friendly, so really zero complaints!

My favorite vegan foods at Charro are the pizza, soy pollo with rice, and the tacos!!!! I always put lime on everything when it gets to my house. I love lime. The mango habenero salsa is fire hahah literally, it’s so hot. I tried it by itself and was like wow this will be fun, and then drizzled it on my tacos. Ajiwowindbbeowoshdb so good. I am in perfect endorphin heaven.
The refried beans are amazing too and the rice is fresh and light. The portion sizes here are incredible, so generous, and i always get all the extras i order. I wanted to try both the habenero salsas with the tacos and it worked. They sent me both! The mango habenero is spicier than the regular habanero. (I accidentally clicked picadillo online while ordering and someone called me to make sure that it was a mistake. I thought it was pico de gallo hahah I’m glad they were on top of the order because I wouldn’t have been able to digest the meat.) Peace be with you!

Saw it new name so we tried it. It was good. No complaints. Nothing great. I think chip and salsa refills cost $$. I don’t like that. She got the steak. Had good charred taste. Good size portion. I got the Guadalajara taco. Very big. Lots of seating. Friendly service.
