As a Sonora dog lover I can’t believe I had one down the street from my house and open 24 hours. I only stick with 2 from the south side and just found my 3rd 10 minutes away. I would recommend Sonora Dog lovers to give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Wow! HUGE portions, super tasty! Even the rice had excellent flavor. Carne Asada meat was seasoned perfectly, tender, not chewy or fatty. I had the carne asada tots, whoa, where are the tots, in a good way, of course. So much meat, cheese and deliciousness. Believe it or not, the tots were still crispy even after the blanket of goodness smothered on top, steaming away in a styrofoam container. That is amazing! My first food experience in Tuscon, wow, my tastebuds are ready….bring it Tuscon!

This place had REALLY good breakfast burritos a few months ago. I recommended them to a friend. I thought it was a fluke when her burro was literally a bag of grease [relleno ] so it makes sense but now my potatoe egg and cheese burro, had no potatoes and was very greasy too. Back to nicos I guess.

Was not impressed.Ordered carry out thru drive thru so cant comment on the interior. The only postive was the amount of food Got the Bigzilla carne asada burrito. Compared to BK it was huge but The meat was grey & soggy & never saw a grill. It was that grey soggy stringy consistency you find at some chinese restaurants + there was no flavor. Highly disappointing. And the salsa I’d call it more like aqua tomato.

Put guacamole on my plate when I specifically said no guacamole!! I noticed when I drove home ( I live a good 20 minutes away)I’m allergic I tried to scoop it out but it was literally on everything so I had to throw it away. Called the store to tell them, and the guy said come and he’ll replace it and I said I live too far maybe tomorrow. Does this guy not say to me “ keep the order or else you’re not getting another “ Dude you messed up the order don’t act like you’re doing me a favour by replacing the food. This food is In no condition to be served again especially not the next day! Watch out guys.

Honestly awful. The bag was ripping at the bottom from all the grease. I got the carne asada burrito. That already comes with pico and guacamole. It came with neither. And more then half of the meat was fat, I threw up after 3 bites. First and time trying them sadly.

EDIT: Charquitas has officially removed the option to request salsa (extra or otherwise) on DoorDash. In the realm of Mexican cuisine, Charquitas stands alone—no salsa allowed. Strange fix, amigos.
I genuinely love their food, and the prices are fantastic. That said, the staff can be a bit forgetful when it comes to essentials like salsa, napkins, and utensils. Especially with delivery orders! Maybe it’s not too late to fix that.

I love this place. They have the best aguas frescas and their Sonoran dogs are delicious. The hot dog bun is a pillow of joy.
