Absolutely loved the food at Charminar in North Carolina!

I had the chicken dum biryani (double masala), karampodi chicken, and a chikoo shake, and every single item was outstanding. The biryani instantly reminded me of authentic Hyderabadi double masala biryani—the aroma, the perfectly cooked rice, and the deep, rich flavors were spot on. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite.

The karampodi chicken starter was exceptionally well done—crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated with bold, spicy flavors that were perfectly balanced. One of the best starters I’ve had in a long time.

The chikoo shake was thick, creamy, and refreshing, a perfect way to end the meal.

Overall, amazing food, authentic taste, and great quality. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Hyderabadi flavors! ️

I liked the food here. Classic Indian restaurant.

Tried:
– chicken boneless biryani: okay, I really liked the chicken
– karam podi gobi: soo good, favorite thing
– chicken 65: pretty good, classic
– tandoori chicken: decent, not the biggest fan
– ankaput chicken curry: pretty good, no complaints
– garlic naan: classic, could be more garlicy
– chili naan: never had before, had a nice kick
– badam milk: very yummy, pretty sweet
– samosa chaat: okay but wouldn’t get again. Not what I was expecting for chaat which usually is dry in my experience
– goat pepper fry: wasn’t a big fan

They were out of the haleem, would like to try next time

Service could have been a little more attentive, but otherwise was good

The food was amazing — the chef can definitely cook one of the best biryanis in town. The quality and taste clearly show that they don’t compromise on the food. My only suggestion would be to improve service and communication, especially answering calls and updating order status. Many of the negative reviews seem to be about delays and customer service rather than the food itself. It would be great to see this place invest in better staffing to manage orders, because a restaurant serving food this good deserves to succeed. I would definitely go back again for the biryani.

Best Indian food I’ve had in the area. All of the dishes tasted authentic and had a good level of spice. The goat dishes were amazing and the biriyani was great as well. Service was great and the employees didn’t rush us out of the restaurant near closing time. Will definitely come back soon!

This is purely from take out experience !!! Food is consistently good when you can place an order specifically the mutton ghee roast biriyani , the chciken lababdar , karampodi chicken and are our favourites .The amounts are pretty good for one person and Rakesh and team hold the fort real well . The only concern in recent past few months has been the lack of synch between front line and kitchen where orders havent been fulfilled entirely and also the time for pick up thats the ETA is way off specifically over weekends they seem to be overwhelmed . I hope they get into a serious huddle and find their rhythm back in the game and stand out like they were stellar in both departments when they opened .

I got chicken ghee roast biryani and I loved the fact that they had a mini version. Suits moderate eaters like me. The biryani was very tasty and the meat tasted fresh and rightly cooked. I had ordered regular spice but it was too spicy for me. Next time will try a mild. But loved the food and packing, will definitely buy again!

1st lunch pickup order on Saturday, Goat Biriyani (regular size)- Perfect temperature, authentic hyderabadi biriyani taste, fresh, perfectly cooked. NaCL was on slightly higher side but its ok for me.
2nd lunch pickup order on Friday, Goat Biriyani (max size) – Almost cold, half of it is over cooked with big lumps of rice grains and smelled stale, mixed with half of fresh perfectly cooked biriyani. Oil was on slightly higher side, but it is manageable for me. Quantity difference was very minimal.

A Flavorful Experience That Took Me Back to Hyderabad!
This was our first visit to this place, and though it took a little time to get my turn for Panipuri, it was absolutely worth the wait. One bite instantly transported me to the streets of Hyderabad — the taste was spot on and brought back so many memories.

The person serving Panipuri was incredibly kind and patient, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We also tried the Chicken Dum Biryani and Karampodi Chicken — both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Another big plus: their eco-friendly packaging. No plastic boxes, which we really appreciated!

Loved the food and the overall experience. Definitely planning to come back often!
