A dive worth visiting! From the outside, in passing, Charm City Burger looks like a dive, but you will miss something special if you pass it by. I very glad we stopped, the food was great.

Who doesn’t love a good burger? Well I used to live in Deerfield and had tried it once before by recommendation of a girl I dated. I loved the food but had completely forgotten about it since I don’t live in town. As a foodie and burger lover I’ve been trying burger spots all over Florida and have seen reviews of this place in Yelp or travel magazine as one of the top 3 burger joints of all Florida so I had to come again since I was in town. This time I tried a different burger, spicy which I love. The patty was cooked to perfection, order instead of the famous curly fries, the max and cheese bites which are to die for. They are crunchy around and very cheesy inside. At the end I order their famous cookies and cream milkshake but forgot to take the photo of it. After having tried many burgers around, I can agree with the reviews that this is one of the top 3 burgers in florida. It’s actually my second top after a tiki bar in Orlando, FL.

Honestly this place is really cool. The decor and setup is fantastic and the service is top notch with super super nice workers. However the food is really where it falls off. Do you know when you get some urban style burger and it’s just kinda lame. That’s exactly how you can describe the burgers here. The fries are good. And the shakes are pretty dull. Love the place but the main focus being burgers just does not sit well with me when they are just pretty dull.

We looked up some local restaurants while on vacation. We stumbled upon this place and made a drive. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest and warmest welcome! The Black girl behind the register was very patient and made great suggestions as this was our first time. I ended up going with exactly what she offered, ha! Move aside sweet potato fries!Let me say this: those sweet potato tots were sssssoooooo good!!!

I really want to recommend this place because it gives off the impression that it’s going to be a hidden gem with some amazing quality food. Everything is fine except for the fact that the food is mediocre. This in and of itself would also be perfectly acceptable if they didn’t price their food like a Five Guys style restaurant. I ordered a combo meal with a small drink and it was $18 with taxes. Burger patty was medium-sized and I suppose they cooked it correctly but given the low quality of the meat you could see huge chunks of fat marbled in with the beef. The fries were fine. I suppose if it were a few dollars cheaper I’d let the lower quality of the food slide, and I still recommend trying this place, but since the food doesn’t take it up a notch in any meaningful way I don’t see any reason to come here over the glut of other burger joints around the Deerfield area. The atmosphere inside is fine for a dive restaurant.

For years I’ve kept saying “oh I gotta try their burgers I hear they’re good” and we finally made it. And I am mad at myself for not trying them years ago. They honestly have great freaking Burgers. Well made burgers, not dry and not small. And the prices are better than most burger joints out there. The staff is great and friendly. This just became my go to Burger joint.

I was brought in by a couple of friends who recommended, the establishment is very typical of a burger joint, not fancy but very clean and family friendly, felt local and proud to be south floridian, everything on the menu sounded delicious, at the counter I was greeted with a smile and an awesome explanation of why their burgers are great, I ordered the southern belle (which I was immediately explained that that burger is an award winner) and tater tots.

This popped up when I goggled best burger place near me. And goggle did not lie. This little hole in the wall has some of the best burgers I have eaten. Small but clean and the staff was fantastic. Had the Cowboy burger and fries. Fantastic. You can tell not only does the owner take pride in his place but so does the employees. A must stop for burgers.

I wish I took a picture, but the Hippie Burger which is a vegetarian burger was absolutely delicious. I am not a vegetarian, but I don’t eat red meat. This was the best vegetarian burger I have ever eaten. We had our order delivered, but have been to the restaurant previously and it is nice and casual inside and all of their menu items and burgers are fantastic. The Hippie burger was so good I cannot wait to order it again.
