Charly’s Pub & Grill comprises- along with the Gopher Hole and Zane Grey Ballroom- FOUR bars and eateries in the historic Weatherford Hotel in downtown Flagstaff. The hotel is a good choice for single or double travelers who want to stay downtown. The food is surprisingly good at Charly’s. The atmosphere varies from a sidewalk bistro to an english/irish pub to an old-western dining room. Family friendly. I have never seen a wait here, so this is a great choice if the other downtown spots are too busy.

My husband and I stopped in on a Thursday evening and had a lovely time. We had the mac with bacon and the steak frites, and both were delicious! Service was fast and our waiter was great as well. We will definitely be back and bring friends.

We always go for music and the Hotel Club Chicken sandwich & Sweet potato Fries. A few weeks ago we had the absolute best sandwich and sweet potato fries. Last night the chicken was rubbery and parts almost like jerky (usually tender & juicy).I couldn’t eat even 1/2. The fries seemed to have been sitting out for an hour and reheated. The bartender was nice and asked how it was and I was honest and even showed her how rubbery it was. I asked if they had a different chef & she said they had a whole new kitchen staff. She very nicely said I’ll speak with the manager. Nothing was done. The manager didn’t even stop by although he spent much time before chatting with the waitress and female bartender. So disappointed and disheartened…we have decided to not return.

First of all, the food was good but if you don’t have 3 hours to waste don’t go. Waitress couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu, when we asked to speak with manager about a vinegar turned wine, we waited we 20 minutes for him to appear. Soup was served with the entree. Caution. Check your bill. They tried to charge us for Soup and other things that were included in the meal. Also, never brought stuff that was suppose to come with the meal. I feel sorry for cooks cause the manager is the big problem with this dining disaster

Restaurant in an historic hotel in downtown Flagstaff. Navaho Taco was okay. It was a lot of bread. Charleys baked dip was good. Flagstaff dip sandwich was excellent. Posole good and served with Indian bread. There was a wonderful French pino noir on the menu. It wasn’t busy, quiet, and intimate. Overall I enjoyed it.

I wanted so bad to give this cute little spot in downtown Flagstaff a 5, but I just can’t. The positives: the food was very good. We tried the Navajo taco which came highly recommended and was hearty, a lot of food and had great flavor. The crab dip appetizer & pozole were also not too bad. The negatives were they appeared to be short staffed so everything took a while. We were patient and understood, and our server was extremely friendly and doing very well considering she had a lot of tables to tend to with very little assistance. The huge negative was the music playing over head was old “roaring 20’s” which literally sounded like it was playing on a record player from the 20’s and loud. We laughed it off but did agree the wait for our drinks & food would have been easier if it hadn’t been for the overhead tunes. Haha

Came here from Phoenix for a weekend trip and stumbled across this place. At first we didn’t see this as a place we would drink at but came to the bar and ALYSSA was our server and she was amazing!! Great personality, quick with orders and checking in on us. If you come here… sit in her section!
