This was my first visit but it won’t be my last, I had the orange plate special which was the turkey wings,Mac and cheese, rice,fried cabbage,potatoe salad and a side salad, needless to say I had enough to bring home a take out container, the prices are,very affordable, the quantity of food large portions, the customer service, is warm and friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable so yes it is dine in, I can’t say enough about Charlotte’s just get there early I went at 3 and the meatloaf was out! I will continue to support!

The food is delicious! The staff are friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have about any of the dishes being served. I tried the carrot souffle for the first time assuming I wouldn’t like it and I was pleasantly surprised. The Hummingbird cake was also a winner. It was moist and met all my expectations! I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back and try new dishes!

Staff is friendly, Food is delicious, Facility is very clean. The only negative is that food is on the pricey side. It adds up quick for a meal. Definately a once in a while kind of spot. My suggestion is to please consider rotating the Orange Plate specials offered. This way customers have more decent priced options.

Purchased seafood lasagna, with a side of cabbage (too greasy), and Texas garlic toast. I drained about a tablespoon of oil from my side dish.

4.) Customer service: Understaffed; polite and professional. However, food was not hot! My party and I (total of 6) were at Charlotte’s before the door opened and the food, (fried chicken, baked chicken, seafood lasagna, spaghetti, and the meatloaf) was cold and dry (too much heat lamp on food)
***Charlotte’s Cafeteria is a hit or miss. Unfortunately, my dining experience today was a miss!!!

Fantastic food. Wonderful, friendly, service. A great addition to the Panache line. The carrot souffle is divine! My husband really enjoyed the liver & onions, and our daughter loved her baked spaghetti. I can not recommend Charlotte’s enough, it was like dining with old friends. ❤️

This place is like NO OTHER! Every item I’ve eaten there is simply delicious. Their iconic lemon pepper cod, creamy seafood lasagna and shrimp and grits are just mouth watering. I rotate getting most of the items and desserts each time I visit (I’ve gone twice in one day even) because I don’t want to miss out. The banana pudding in the souvenir mason jar is my favorite. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself over and over again. You won’t be disappointed! Tell them their favorite guest sent you…lol!

I had the salmon croquettes, macaroni and cheese, carrot souffle and cornbread. My husband had the fried chicken, porkchop and souffle as well.When I say the food was absolutely delicious, I mean it!!! There is nothing in the area like this. We will definitely be back, this place is a must try. Somebodies grandma is in that kitchen cooking , lol!!Absolutely delicious. Also, the restaurant itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing and plenty of room to space out. We were pleasantly greeted when we walked in and thanked as we were exiting. I love this place, I will have no problem driving from Newport news to Hampton to have this food again

The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff was very helpful and very very nice.I got the meatloaf and grits it was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife was a little disappointed in the Fried Chicken it was overcooked and very dry. Very large portions we both left very satisfied and very full we will return.

The decor is inviting and beautiful. I love the bathroom decor. Food ok expensive. The food was warm not hot. Try it you may like it. My husband had the liver and he enjoyed his meal. I had fried flounder. Fish need to be hot out the grease or oven.
