Was talking to the lady making my order she completely ignored me and started talking to the people behind me halfway through my order so she only got half my order I only paid for half my order and I won’t be back. She got my sandwich she didn’t hear me say anything about sides or drink. Charge me for my sandwich and that’s all I got so thanks I’ll go to one of your other competitors to get a drink. $10 it’s a cheap bun and I barely got any meat definitely will not be back here. Yeah I got the pulled pork and it sucks Don’t even bother it’s a cheap white bread bun with some greasy pulled pork with no flavor so it’s just a pile of mush with barbecue sauce

Had my 1st experience here today, 12/20/18. First off the location is great! Located INSIDE the Flint Farmers Market. The market building has free parking on site! The market is full of energy and a variety of stands and vendors offering all kinds of food. Charlie’s BBQ was fantastic. They were busy but I was able to order after about 1 minute. The guys in the kitchen hustle! The ladies at the counter were very friendly. I ordered the Smokin Combo for about $16. Came with brisket, chicken, polish sausage and two sides. LOTS of food! The food was Smokey and delicious. Chicken and sausage was my favorite.

Decent BBQ, 10$ for a sandwich and a side. The baked beans were really good, great job. The chicken sandwich was good. Good sauce to meat ratio and good flavor. The ladies at the front were very nice and friendly. I want to come back and try some more things.

The best ribs I’ve ever had. Seriously. Their sides are amazing too, the coleslaw has a delicious peppery flavor and the green beans are fantastic, not your usual BBQ sides. Try it. But know you’ll be back.

I love good bbq, and Charlie’s Smokin BBQ is the best in the tri county area! So good!

This place used to be my favorite place at farmers market but not anymore. It’s pretty much impossible to order food because when it’s lunch time, they are at lunch?? Also, customer service is everything!!! The women with the blond hair acts like she has an attitude to serve you. The other woman was SO SWEET but when I see the blond, I normally second guess stopping. She isn’t very welcoming and last time had me just standing at the counter, didn’t speak and looked right at me. I had to ask if they were open…she said yes and proceeded to walk in front to write on her sign. I’ll take my business else where due to the way she’s been treating the customers. You can have great food and run LOYAL customers away by horrible customer service. Put someone upfront that wants to be there.

I had to update my review! This place has skyrocketed the quality of their food. I visited the market a few days ago and was immediately drawn to Charlie’s. I got my mainstay the brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised they changed their buns and the meat seemed thicker. It was fantastic. As always the staff was friendly and even though there was a line it didn’t take longer than 5 minutes for my food to be done.

We ate at The Flint Farmers Market on A Saturday. The ribs are North End Flavor but even more tender. The sauce has a small spice, just right for us.
THE MAC & CHEESE Is real cheese and tons of flavor. Baked Beans with a hint of BBQ. Both blew me away.
A little pricey but well worth the price and the wait.
The combo dinner is the best value!

Amazing BBQ! Had the brisket dinner and it was awesome. Melt in your mouth, tender, no knife required, lol. The sides were delicious also. Green beans with a little spice and garlic, and the coleslaw was creamy with just a hint of sweet; not overpowering like others I’ve tried. Highly recommend checking out Charlie’s ♥️

Tried for the first time at Midland County Fair. Food was decent but when I was handed my brisket sandwich I thought it was a joke. Walmart hamburger bun and barely any meat – $15 for a tiny sandwich and a lukewarm small side of mac and cheese. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt – maybe they were trying to conserve food for the busy fair day, but come on.
