Charlie’s Place Is a Family Style Restaurant located on Cranberry Highway in Wareham, Massachusetts. The restaurant opened in 1972. The restaurant serves: Pizza, Burgers, Seafood, and Italian dishes! The restaurant offers: Inside Dining, Outdoor dining our Deck weather permitting, Bar seating, and a separate Take Out & Delivery area. We are Open daily for Pickup or Delivery of all menu items. Cheese pizza was great! Prob my fav bar pizza and I don’t even like bar pizza. The sauce flavor is good! Def recommend if bar pizza is your type. I might actually crave a bar pizza for once now after trying this place out!

I love that this place asks you how you would like your pizza. Never had a pizza place ask that before. I’ve ordered it limp before because it tastes so good. Although I do like to crisp it up now and again. Friendly environment, and I love that the place has history.

Charlie’s Place might just serve the best clam chowder in the entire region. Rich, creamy, and loaded with clams and tender potatoes, it’s a bowl of pure comfort. If you’re a chowder fan, this is the gold standard.
We also got the linguiça and onion pizza, which was incredible—savory, smoky, and perfectly balanced with sweet onions. The cheese pizza was equally great, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of sauce.
Even the simpler dishes impressed us—the buttered penne was a hit with the kids, and the onion rings were hot, crispy, and impossible to stop eating.

I was so impressed with Charlie’s bar pies. The crust was really great! I tried a four different single toppings. The servers, especially Gail was so nice! She was very friendly and attentive. Plenty of seating. I was in a booth. A member of my party who normally would’ve struggled in a booth thought the booth very roomy! Definitely worth a repeat as there were a few items that caught my eye on the menu.

EDIT: after being messaged by someone who I can only imagine is affiliated I have now changed it to one star. I gave a decent amount of information in this review for other people to make their own decisions. I do not appreciate the persistent messaging over a review that was almost a year old.

Stopped in after hearing that Charlie’s has great south shore bar pizza. I got there around noon on a Saturday and there weren’t many customers. I was able to pick where I wanted to sit, the waitress was very nice!
I ordered one cheese bar pizza laced. That’s my goto when trying a new ssbp place. Pizza came out quickly. It had a decent lace but I don’t think the oven was up to temp yet or something. The pizza was soggy on the bottom, was almost raw in some places and very floppy. It tasted great though so Im hoping it’s just a one off. I’ll definitely give them another try but my first impressions weren’t what I was hoping for, it happens! You should never write off a restaurant after one visit.
I’ll be back again looking for a nice ssbp!

Food is always amazing staff are always so sweet, me and My Husband went in with our three year-old son and he’s a bit rowdy of course because.. he’s 3!, but the hostess came over a few times and would come and talk to him and calmed him down a bit as they had Halloween decorations, and she was showing them to him. Towards the end when he had enough of sitting She walked him around the restaurant a few times it was so nice! What a great family restaurant(: 100% recommended

This was my first time trying Charlie’s place. I got the seafood platter from this restaurant and it wasn’t until I arrived home that I realized it was not safe to eat. I tried the clams first, the meat was very chewy, like they had been sitting around all day. I bit into a fried scallop and it had a strong taste of chemical almost like ammonia. Nothing had any flavor and all tasted the same. The fries didn’t even have salt. It’s a no forever for me.

Being on vacation it’s been hard to find simple food. Every place we went to tried just didn’t deliver.
Charlie’s delivered and we weren’t surprised.
We had the meatloaf dinner and 1/2 rack of ribs….
BOTH are worth coming in to try.
Forget all those other places charging you for the ink on their fancy menu…come on in to Charlie’s if you want real food!!!

I placed an order for a late Christmas celebration at my home the Monday after Christmas.
I called and spoke with Harry 4-5 days prior, and ordered a full pan of the Meat Lasagna, another of Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and lastly, a full sheet Cheese pizza.
Harry called early Monday morning to confirm the time for that afternoon.
I was very grateful for the plastic containers that were offered to us to carry the foil pans. Lord knows those things are flimsy by themselves, not to mention hot.
The food was the biggest hit of the night! Everything was AWESOME!!
Harry, I’d like to thank you and your staff for making our Holiday a little bit more special.
