I stopped next door to charge my car and walked over to Charlie’s. A hidden jewel I will be going to when I return to Subaru Park in PA for a game.
I had the chicken parm sandwich. The bread was toasted to perfection, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was on point. The steak in the loaded fries was soft and the cheese. When you visit notice how the chef uses timers to make sure every item that comes out is cooked to perfection. I was impressed.

Suite Spot
We have been going here alot, now that our business is right next door to Charlie’s! The food is absolutely amazing! The wings, cheesesteaks, burgers, hot sausage, chicken sandwich and don’t forget the amazing Pizza! The staff is awesome, especially Adam! Charlie’s is our go to spot in Claymont! We highly recommend!

My first time here – Cheesesteak was great but just wondering what this red sauce is? I’m somewhat new to DE/PA, is this standard? I only asked for the peppers and onions. I’ve never had a cheesesteak with this sauce on it. I’m not even sure what it was. It wasn’t ketchup, marinara maybe? Regardless, the cheesesteak (and pizza!) were excellent and I will be returning.

I’ve been going to this place for about 30 years. Moved to Florida and back. Every time I’m in Claymont, I need a Charlie’s cheese steak. It has literally always been the best cheese steak in Claymont. Despite the other place having a bigger name. It has changed owners but I can confidently say nothing about the cheese steaks have changed. Or not enough for me to notice. Pizza was always good back in the day but haven’t had one in many years. If in Claymont GO HERE.

My neighbor suggested this place and claimed it was the best. I was very disappointed. I order a calzone, fries, and sausage pizza. The pizza was disgusting. The calzone had no taste and the French fries were non existent. Maybe like 10 fries in the bag. This food was not worth the money you would pay. I would rather order from station pizza in Philly then from this place. That’s how bad it is.
