Nice breakfast spot! Our server was very kind and attentive. We came in with 3 people, service was so good we were done in less than an hour (which I appreciated).
The food itself has generous portions and was great. I’d definitely recommend this place!
The total for three meals, and a couple of drinks was $34 which is honestly unbeatable!

I’m going to start off by saying that we went there on a Sunday, the first bartender was amazing!!! She was leaving, but made us our drinks which tasted great/. We do this for a living so we get what is going on and how it goes when changing shifts. 2ND bartender was eating an omelette and just walking around aimlessly like she didn’t know where she was. Our food menu was ready to go even while she kept walking past us like not even acknowledging anything. The only time I saw her is when she was on her cell phone which was an iPhone and I can tell you exactly where it was plugged in and where she was texting not tending bar. Meanwhile….. we’re waiting to order we and were there for a very long time. The owner who came out of the kitchen and was standing behind the bar watching TV while he was piling some kind of meat into his mouth with his fingers while licking his fingers was quite unpleasant. (Not my bar not my decision so it is what it is.)However we were still sitting there for over 45 minutes with no offer for food! We decided that we were not going to eat there because the bartender who was on kept walking around eating and texting not waiting on customers . Now you think the owner would sit there and be like concerned that customers are not getting the service that they need. No he looked at us and he said you have shopping to do? We said no we’ve been sitting here for a while so he got on the defensive and said well they’re changing shifts well doesn’t take 45 minutes to change shifts the girls walking around eating an omelet and she’s on her phone. The girl with the bull nose ring. Never seen anything like this in my life with that cocky response . He’s a type of owner / whatever he is, that no matter what you tell him he will be on the defensive that his place and his restaurant doesn’t do anything wrong right? Now mind you I was there a month ago and gave this place amazing reviews because of the food and the service. So when we left we usually tip pretty good but we gave her a dollar she didn’t make our drink she walked around the other girl that left made our drink but we did give her a dollar even though she didn’t help us at all or even make her drink. It is so unprofessional that she yells out to us Merry Christmas in a loud voice trying to embarrass us infront of the entire bar to us while we left. It didn’t work… Just made you look stupid. (Sorry if you can’t take criticism.) And if she sees this and the owner sees this. We wish you BOTH a MERRY CHRISTMAS and may Santa bring Bull nose ring girl bartending or even hospitality skills. And the owner a plate, fork and a table, maybe not where people can see you eating with your fingers (just a thought) and stop being cocky, humble yourself…. You own a diner in Spencer, you don’t rule the world sorry to say. (Thank God) Ho ho ho ho ho. We won’t be back lol

My wife called in our order and picked up. They put everything in one container, no partitions to prevent water from steamed items getting into other items – like fries. So, we had disgusting soggy fries! Called the owner and he wanted us to drive back (30 minute drive) to the restaurant for a replacement – refused to give us a credit. When my wife let him know her disappointment with this he said ‘do you want me to go back and yell at the kitchen staff?!’. My advice is to avoid this place – owner needs to learn how to treat customers properly.

Had a friend come visit from out of town and we were looking for a nearby place to grab a bite and catch up and Charlie’s is a 3 min car ride. We each got a coffee, which was just ok, a little on the weak side. After a considerable wait our server told us the kitchen was really behind and apologized for the wait. My friend ordered the vegetarian omelet no toast or home fries. And I the Steve omelet, which i was excited to see contained tomatoes but no bell peppers as I have a huge aversion to when cooked. When our food finally came out it all looked yummy. As I took my 3rd bite and 1/3 of the way through the flavor hit me. That acrid cooked pepper flavor that permeates all the food is cooked with. I said nothing which is on me but we had already waited 20+ minutes for our food asked for a to go box and packed up my food so at least it wouldn’t go to waste if I family might eat it. Which they didn’t. Needless to say I live walking distance and will not be back as I spent $40 on us to eat one 3 egg omelet i could’ve done better at home.

We stop in here in our way to the cabin. Good food, drinks and they get busy. Service is pretty quick, today we were able to sit and order everything within 8min, nice.. My wife had a bourbon bramble martini, funny never thought she would have anything boudin, but it’s good. Local favorite for me is the Wachusette blueberry ale. Ship in for a drink or appetizer, all good. Ever since they expanded, the bar are looks great. Enjoy..

The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is due to the echo/ sound in the room…it was pretty intense, very loud. Sight* taste * smell * Feel * sound. The room is stunning, just needs softening of the echo.
Wall tapestry’s, area rugs etc are a good place to start….☺
