This place has awesome food and service. I highly recommend to pargiyos skewers and the prime rib skewers. They were cooked to perfection. What I particularly enjoyed about this haven, is that as soon as you sit down they bring you warm pitas with Zataar spice with about 10 different salads and dios for the pita. It is a middle eastern restaurant and the people were very friendly especially the chef Yogev! Definitely will make this a regular stop when in Norfolk!

Ordered the Tom Hanks platter and it took forever. Waited for a good 30 minutes. When it came out, the over easy eggs were raw. Straight up raw with no sear. It was gross. The potatoes were barely cooked as well. However, the biscuits and gravy somewhat saved the meal.

We found this place based on reviews. We are not from Virginia and we’re here on vacation. This place is so cute! My daughter had pancakes with strawberry’s and bananas and she GOBBLED them up! My food is pictured. It was country fried steak with biscuits- and it was DELICIOUS! definitely give this place a visit when you go! It’s so cute!

Very first and very last time ordering here. The price for the amount of food you get is absolutely ridiculous! What kind of bacon wrapped, deep fried hot dog is this shriveled up mess? Looks like a Vienna sausage with wrinkles. I didn’t even get the strawberries I paid extra for on these flat, flavorless “french toast” with watery syrup that took over 30mins to make. This is what I get for going by pictures and not fully reading reviews. This was terrible!

It was just ok. Can’t say I would hurry back. Dining al fresco was met with the stinch of dog urine in the shrubs around the patio. Service is courteous but not swift. The blueberries on the waffle were grilled (??).

Charlie’s has always been my solid go to breakfast spot. The vibe is good, drinks are available, and food is usually tasty. Sometimes they can get super busy on the grill, so understandably food orders can take some time. Overall good experience.

I have an extra star because times are rough- and this place shows it. I used to frequent a Charlie’s in the 90’s with amazing vibes and even better food.

This Cafe is a lonely and messy establishment. The young waitress was attentive as she can be but too busy to bring coffee, water and utensils. The older waitress, with the sour attitude, created fear amongst the tables.

The food: the California omelette had an unripe avocado as the center piece. The frozen pork sausage was the best thing on my plate. The generic coffee was worse than unremarkable.

Why 3 stars? Everyone needs a chance. Maybe they are better on weekdays? Or with parties >1? Anyhow- won’t be back but wish them well.
