I got the 2 meat combo plate and my wife got chicken finger plate. She said the chicken fingers were off the charts good. The ribs were not my favorite but the pork butt was very good. Service was friendly and fast. The place was very busy and the workers did good with the pace. I will eat here again when in odenville.

I visited Charlie’s for the second time with high expectations of flavorful food I previously remembered trying but got there later than I planned to! They sold out of the brisket so I tried something different since it was a 30 minute drive. Pictured was supposed to be hamburger steak but was only a frozen patty placed on the grill. After trying the smoked wings I instantly knew this was a bad decision…no flavor just a hint of smoke and flash fried! I’m disappointed that the food was not the same as it previously was. Hopefully that changes soon, with the right cooks this can easily be a great place again!

Ordered the bbq plate with baked beans and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni couldn’t even be put in the same class, there was no flavor and what cheese?? The only way I can describe the meat is it looked raw ( I know the difference between raw and smoked red meat). The beans tasted like they were soured, I literally had to spit them out. I let the teenager at the cash register know and they said I could get 2 different sides. I just asked for a side of fries, took them 20 mins to bring them out..(they had 1 person waiting for food so they weren’t slammed) I was so excited about getting bbq because last I had it, it was good but I was very disappointed this time. I almost asked for a refund!

Called my order in yesterday. The guy on the phone was rude…but okay whatever. Got to the restaurant and the guy just gave me my food without walking me through how things go… it was my first time being there so I didn’t know where the cups were or where to go. No thank you…come again nothing. Soon as I got home and opened my box of wings that people bragged so much about, I found multiple extra long feathers on my wings. I don’t have to go back.

Burger was fine. Onion rings were good. Fries were cold and looked like they gave us whatever was left in the bin. Which apparently wasn’t much. I guess check your food if you get takeout.

Charlie’s used to be so good, but they have gone down hill. My burgers were smashed and so greasy. There was like 5 corn nuggets. Probably not going to return. I heard from others that the service and food was not as good anymore. The chicken strips used to be good too but they have changed them as well.

Had the best food ..BBQ sauce excellent burger excellent..slaw and beans great..this place was super…what amazed me most was the staff… all quite young …this place ran so well..no kids on their phone pretending to work..they were all working… ringing up food… making the food… carrying out the trash..who ever owns this place is doing a great job…go now.. have a nice patio to sit out on…I just moved to the neighborhood and this will be my new go to…

I have been frequenting Charlie’s for 6 years. Good food but I will not be going back for a while or if ever after having no refund or remake of a wrong order that I called about promptly. Told over the phone they would do a remake but when I got there a few days later it had been denied, I presume by the owner. They just installed a digital screen for your review so that you can cover their input mistake if necessary. If you are not paying attention, you are at fault. They don’t bother to say when you have placed your order that you need to verify the correctness on the screen. Too many young people working there to take care of the customers properly. Obviously no appreciation for loyal customers by the owner…… so be it!!
Owner…after seeing your review….you don’t care about customer service. I never eat tenders and never said tenders….they must be hard of hearing…no one told me there was a time-frame to get a remake…another issue with you and your employees about not stating specifics. I do feel that way and more so now. I guess you don’t know about the adage the customer is always right. But no matter and I am not one anymore and hope others read my experience to know how they can be taken.
