It’s a hole in the wall, family type place. The outside of the building looks like a motel office. It’s next door to Alan Jay car dealership on the Left, up on a hill.
Service was excellent. Lots of locals keeps this place hopping. Good food for a great price. Not too over the top in price. Their biscuits are big, so good and fresh. Eggs are made to order and I ordered the French toast without maple syrup and used whipped cream instead.

My husband and I used to love coming to this restaurant when it was double J’s. The food was great waitresses and everything was great. Now that it’s under new owners, not so good. Order has browns this morning with my breakfast, and they were cold to the touch. See pic for portion. Also, waited a month to come back and see if they had improved, because last time we waited an hour and still hadn’t gotten our food, so we walked out. Anyway, the only reason service got 2starswasnecausea different waitress brought me some new home fries instead of hash browns. The waitress we hadwasyoung, and had no smiles until they locked the doors to close. I ordered 2 eggs, cornbeef hash, and hash browns.

We ate lunch. Baby back ribs (3), with lima beans, baked beans & banana pudding. Husband said they were all delicious. I got the club sandwich & slaw. The best club I’ve had & slaw had good flavor. Club even had ripe homegrown tomatoes which we didn’t think existed at restaurants in this area. Big plus! We talked to one of the owners while paying for our $22 lunch! Natalie is a delight. She has obtained recipes from the past owners to maintain the locals patronage & satisfaction. Their lunch starts at 11 & most days are sold out before noon. So if you see a special advertised, get there early. I would advise trying it out for yourself before basing your choice to go or not, rather than deciding on someone else’s opinion. We all like different things.

Good old fashioned greasy spoon. Food was great, service could’ve been better. Over all not bad, would go back.

Local small town homestyle food, small town folks, friendly staff. For the price you’ll pay at a fast food breakfast spot, you can have a great homestyle meal… slow down your day and meet someone new…

Good atmosphere and coffee ☕. Okay service. Food was good but food variety very limited. Nothing to write home about but it was good enough to go back every now and then.

I love eating here. I always get the ham and cheese omelet with grits, and it is always good. Staff is very friendly and the pricing is reasonable. The place isn’t usually packed in the morning. You’ll definitely see mostly seniors there, but that’s ok because nobody is loud or rude. It’s perfect.

In a nutshell, when I tried to explain that my food was not done and that I had been sitting there waiting, I was basically told it was my fault and that I could’ve tracked her down to let her know, “Well, I guess you didn’t try very hard!” Second most rude encounter with someone in the service industry and when I called to speak to one of the owners, I was basically told that it is what it is, that server has a mouth and there’s nothing ownership can do about it. Extremely POOR establishment. This is the type of place you need a zero star option for.

My husband, daughter and I stopped in for breakfast Saturday morning. We were warmly greeted when we walked in. Our server was very nice and our food was delicious. They don’t take cards so make sure you bring cash or checks. We’ll be back.
