We went here on a Saturday (November) at about 6:30 pm and we’re able to get a table right away. I ordered the purple cowboy drink and we both had the center cut ribeyes with a side, a salad, and a little bread. The potatoes were great and the steak was done perfectly medium! The bread is able to be skipped as it was not very flavorful and we were so full we didn’t make it to desserts. It’s an unassuming cozy local restaurant that we’ll definitely come back to wh we n in the area!

We had the early bird Charlie’s Special, 6oz sirloin and shared a cherry cobbler, ala mode. Everything was great, plenty of food. Of note: the smoke taste of the steak was excellent, recommend.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner during a business trip. We were so excited after hearing good things about it. Unfortunately our experience was not what we expected, we had such high hopes because of the good reviews. I enjoyed the artichokes but other than that our meals were underwhelming . We asked for cheese on our steak. Instead we got a slice of sandwich cheese under one of our side dishes. Steak was tough to top it off. My country fried steak was one of the worst I’ve had. Our server was very nice & attentive.

I’ve visited this steakhouse twice now, and both times the food was absolutely delicious. The kitchen staff deserves full credit for consistently delivering high-quality dishes. The quail and filet mignon are must-tries and, in my opinion, the best steak in northern Arizona.
This place stays busy, and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere offers a charming and authentic cowboy experience that adds to the appeal. However, the wait staff could use some improvement. The service felt disorganized, and the team did not appear to be working in sync, which affected the overall dining experience.
One additional note: the two-top table by the bathrooms should be removed. My chair was bumped several times during the meal, making it an uncomfortable spot to sit.
Even with these minor drawbacks, the quality of the food makes this steakhouse worth visiting. With a few service adjustments, it could be even better. Get there early, the wait fills up quick even on weekdays.

Great place to eat in pinetop ! Atmosphere was really nice and the staff was very consistent & friendly , even with a full house food was still out in a very timely manner ! Great food will be back again !

Il give it a fair reviews for now( il change it once we dine in the future), this is our first choice resto bcs of reviews and the history the best steaks in town, im a big steaks eater lately bcs of our once carnivore diet, that time it was jampack as in so full!!! well, it’s valentines, and the queue was soo long. Our cabins will eventually close, and we can’t check in if we wait 1 hr or more, so we decided we do next tym.. the place was cozy with bars and pool table separate from the food area, we will do further reviews when we get back and check this area on a non holiday!

Was told a 30 min wait time which turned into us waiting an hour and a half. I understand that’s it’s Valentine’s Day and it will be busy but atleast give a more realistic wait time. Finally once we were seated our server was very accommodating and sweet! Only problem is I ordered a New York steak medium. The steak came out rare. Felt bad for sending it back but the steak was bleeding once it came back it was still rare. There was no meat just pure fat through out the whole thing. Really disappointed for a $40 New York steak especially after waiting an hour and a half!

We had our Thanksgiving meal here. One plate of the standard turkey and dressing which was excellent. And the second plate, prime rib and quail. The quail was the best I’ve ever had. The service with “Cheyeanna” was outstanding. After the meal she showed us around the Mesquite and Gibson rooms and told us some history. She suggested we stop by and speak to Bill Gibson the owner who was at the bar, which we did. Wonderful experience. We will be back in the future, even though we’re from NC.

After a day playing it in the snow we decided to try Charlie Clark’s Steakhouse. We were sat fairly quickly and was created with friendly staff. We were starving when we arrived so that made it food selection difficult since everything sounded delicious. We started with wings and fried mushrooms which my kids and myself really enjoyed. One son ordered the chicken fried steak and had no complaints, my other son had the chicken and ribs, and cleaned his plate. My wife had the poblano chicken and even though she said it had more of a sweet flavor then expected she still enjoyed it. I had the beef ribs and did not expect the generous size that came out. The ribs were a little on the fatty side but still fantastic. The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. A must try if you are in the area and looking for a great dinner with the family.

Great food. Service is slower which allows time to enjoy my wonderful wife. Food is excellent. I can recommend the filet mignon-really good, and steak salad- also really good. We are now regulars.
