I just had to come to this place when looking for a place to eat. The interior is dark and has a comfy vibe to it, with the walls being surrounded with old books. I had the Pepper Jack Philly Prime Rib with a side of fries. This was the first time where the sandwich had more of a ticket piece of meat vs. very thin slices/pieces. It worked out for me as I did enjoy it. The waitress was very nice and attentive to me. It’s a cool place to just hangout at.

It feels like you have stepped into a secret club or secret underground meeting place. Once your eyes adjust from daylight to the darker setting you realize that the environment is quite quaint and cozy. I had the burger of the day which was amazing.

Have been here multiple times really really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is one of a kind, I love the relaxing chill vibe. Always good service, excellent beer selection, the food is fantastic. Love the burgers, can never go wrong with the special. I do feel the burgers could use a little bit more seasoning but it’s whatever. I typically get the fried mushrooms which I highly recommend. This past time I went, I tried the fried pepper jack cheese, which was excellent. Ratings 1-5. 1 low 5 high.

This is definitely the most unique place that I have seen in Lexington. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable. The dining area is a mix of regular tables with traditional dining chairs and couches surrounding tables that you can eat at. There are book shelves that run the entire length of the restaurant that are packed full of books. They also have a large outdoor patio, on a covered deck on the backside of the restaurant (which is where we chose to eat), or you can choose to sit outside in the front of the restaurant at street level. The atmosphere was fun, as the UK football game had recently ended and people were all having a good time. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and my daughter ordered chicken wings with a side of fries. We both enjoyed our food and our total bill was only $28 and that included our drinks. The only thing that I would have changed, would have been to order my burger without the mushrooms that came on it (they were good, but they kind of overwhelmed the beef flavor from the burger).

Awesome cozy spot! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere! Dog-friendly patio, too! I had a delicious burger and a cold Corona served by a super friendly and sweet server. She even gave me a Charlie Brown’s shot glass for being a first-timer! I’ll be back!

Cute place, loved the big comfy couches to sit, nice quiet atmosphere (for dinner, looks like it gets turned up for night scene). Our server was very sweet and suggested good menu choices, we got the fried mushroom appetizer, mom got the Reuben, I got the prime rib sandwich, everything very yummy for the price point. Would definitely return!

God awful experience with their Lexington Burger Week option 2023. It was worse than what you would get at a high school cafeteria. I had three bites and couldn’t force myself to finish it. If you’re looking to participate in Burger Week, pick another spot. When we left Charlie Brown’s (where there were plenty of spots on the patio) and there was a line up across the street at The Bear and The Butcher. I would have gladly lined up for 30 mins or more to have a good burger versus no line and a horrible one.

I’ve always had a great experience at Charlie Brown’s, however the service I experienced yesterday just put a bad taste in my mouth. Our waitress brought our food and we were never waited on again. No refills, no questions about our meals etc. We did however watch her stand at the bar and talk with the bar tender the entire time we were there. We even thought maybe she was on break but when we were finally tired of waiting for her to bring our check I asked another waitress who walked by to ask her for our bill and a box. The next time we go in if she’s our waitress we’ll probably respectfully decline her service as that was the only complaint. The food was amazing as always and the music selection brought me back in time.

Food was great, atmosphere was great, service left quite a bit to be desired. Paper plates that my wing sauce soaked through before we finished the wings (which were excellent and well priced). No draft beers, all bottles, but not a bad selection. Disappointing beer selection totally offset by the whole liter of White Russian I got for under $15, with many more cocktails available in this manner.
