It’s an ok place to eat at the mall. Nothing spectacular or healthy on the menu. I tried their new Prime Q philly with jalepenos and bacon. Why? Because it had bacon! Friendly staff and there wasn’t much wait at all. Total cost for a sandwich and cheese (gourmet) was a little over $11. Next time I might try something else I’d possible. Overall, I went complain, I got what I ordered and I tasted good.

I wish I could give negative stars. The old Caucasian female cashier really needs some training on customer service. She is beyond rude. While placing my order I see that pickles are on the menu and mention that I would like everything except pickles. She says “You need to listen to me, don’t look at the menu. Did I say we have pickles?” I was so shocked. I told her that attitude was terrible and that I won’t spend my money there. I’d much rather starve to death than to contribute 1 penny to her pay check. I called the number on google and Rick (said he was the GM) answered, he apologized and offered me a coupon. Thanks for the offer Rick, but no percentage off will suffice for how disrespected I felt. I’m working in the mall for the next couple of months. I’ve tried to eat at Charley’s twice now. Last week at 1 pm I was told by a very rude woman that they were closed cause her cook had to leave. I was thoroughly confused. I thought everyone that worked there could cook. I shook it off as a weird occurrence and grabbed food from Auntie Ann’s down the way.

I tried going back today for lunch, 1 week later. 2 people behind the counter this time (1 was the same woman, and the other was a cook actually cooking). As I glance at the menu to decide what delicious item I was going to order, I’m shouted at by the woman “WE ARE CLOSED”! I was taken back and said excuse me what did you say? She loudly responded again “WE’RE CLOSED. We got a big order in and we are closed.” I asked if she was kidding. She said “Nope” and kept going about her business as did the cook. I stood there in shock for a moment and explained about the first time I came last week and now today, and she shrugged her shoulders, turned, and walked away to do something.

I love Charley’s and am I always excited to see them in places that I travel. However, this location and this particular woman, who I believe is the manager, obviously need additional manpower to run this location, but more than that a refresher on how to handle customer interactions at the time of an internal crisis. For instance… here’s my card or a coupon, on your next visit we will treat you with 20% off your meal or an upgraded soda size or a free fry for the inconvenience of not being able to serve you today.

I tried the Buffalo Chicken Philly and it was good. I don’t usually like chicken Philly’s because the meat is usually too dry, but this place chicken is nice and juicy. The service was cool as well. My order was done within a reasonable time. I will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I’m in the mall.
