I’ve been eating here for years and while the flavor is always good…there is significantly less meat than there used to be. This makes what used to be slightly high prices, very high for what you get (now that meat portions are barely there). That being said I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak & almost forgot to take a picture before I ate it all. Also pictured is the Chicken California. They do have a Rewards Program that doles out $2 off coupons fairly regularly. Honestly, if it wasn’t for that I don’t think we’d be back because after all it is supposed to be a Steak/Chicken Sandwich…

Absolutely a trash cheesesteak, unseasoned beef with what seemed like half an onion, no peppers and maybe a couple ounces of what they call cheese. First and last time I waste money at this chain. For a cheesesteak called the “Old Fashion” would have expected more, especially for $16 bucks

I know this is a sandwich place but I mean everything should come out hot and some taste. Got the wings there and they came out cold on the inside. Then to top it of it was tasteless not hot at all as I got the buffalo. Another thing is my fries where sitting on the counter for 3 orders before my order was ready. Everyone else got there pulled out and freshly made fries. Plus they were rushing me and the employee to take my order. Worst experience ever.

My favorite place to get sandwiches in the area. My friend and I always make room to stop by this Charley’s whenever we’re in Iowa City/Coralville. The customer service is very friendly (heck, one time the cashier had asked one of my friends how their family was doing) and the food comes out in a timely matter.
The Philly Cheesesteaks and the gourmet fries are excellent. The cheesesteak always comes with: a generous serving of steak, fresh toppings, and a nice toasty French roll. The gourmet fries come out piping hot and they don’t skimp on the cheese sauce.
All in all this is a great place to stop by and get yourself a solid cheesesteak. They run a tight ship and the care they put into their process shows in the food.

Food has always been good here. But today I attemtped to order from their new menu where they have combos. I believe the owner was the one that tried to take my order and he was absolutely rude and just a prick. I will not be back. I walked away and went to Sbarro instead and was treated very well.
