Best Culinary experience of my life thus far. Everything made from scratch, from the gnocchi to the puff pastry. Fresh, flavorful, unique. Service was professional, atmosphere was classy, food was delicious. We will be going back regularly.

Absolutely phenomenal night at Charley G’s. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection — one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. After dinner, we moved to the bar and the night turned into an unforgettable experience. The pianist had the entire place alive, taking requests while everyone sang along, and the energy was unreal. Great drinks, amazing atmosphere, top-tier food, and the kind of night you talk about for weeks afterward. This place truly delivers on every level.

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. The Crispy Shimp Jambalaya Risotto was epic! Highly recommend.

My server was amazing! But, the food was terrible. I was in a big party, and one ordered chicken tenders that were not fully cooked and another ordered chicken tenders as well and there was a piece of hair on her plate. Regardless, the restaurant is beautiful and definitely higher class and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. But with all that being said, the food was truly terrible.

Traveled from out of town for a low key birthday dinner. A signed birthday card from the staff was waiting for us as we arrived. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Food came out steady and was DELICIOUS, especially the melt in your mouth crab cakes. A dessert of our choice was brought to us for the birthday and was a great way to finish off an already great night~
I can not sing the praises of the staff enough. The professionalism, demeanor, and ethic has guaranteed I return here for any sort of celebration.

We visited Charlie G’s last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The atmosphere was nice, and the service team was friendly and attentive. Cocktails, appetizers, and soups were all outstanding. This was the highlight of our night and a great start to the meal.
Unfortunately, everything went downhill once the entrées arrived. Three of the four people in our party ordered steak, and every single one was undercooked — not just slightly, but to the point that all three had to be sent back. That completely threw off the cadence of the meal. One person began eating while the rest of us waited, sides were sitting on the table cooling, and by the time our steaks returned, the rhythm of dinner was gone.
When the steaks came back, they were predictably overcooked and dried out. You just can’t fix a steak once it’s been sent back to the kitchen. The same thing happened with the lobster. It was dry and lifeless by the time it reached the table.
For a $720 bill, essentially a luxury car note, the experience was hugely disappointing. The staff did apologize but didn’t offer even a complimentary dessert to acknowledge the situation. I left hungry and had dessert somewhere else. That level of indifference is unacceptable.
I would strongly advise against ordering steak here. The rest of the food seemed solid, but whoever is on the grill station simply doesn’t have the skill or consistency needed to handle premium cuts — especially dry-aged beef at this price point. A restaurant charging that much should have a chef who can execute steak properly every single time. Worth noting; they were not busy.
Really unfortunate, because the front of house and bar team clearly care. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t go back for dinner, maybe just for drinks and appetizers. With so much great food in Lafayette at more reasonable price points, I’d highly advise that you just go somewhere else. We had a better meal served by a catering company at a wedding the night before.

My husband and I were visiting in Lafayette last night and had the pleasure of dining at Charlie G’s. Everything was fabulous! We loved our server Katie and everyone else that assisted her. We live in the NOLA area and hands down, it competes and beats the restaurants here. We so miss restaurants having a live piano player. What a nice treat. Fine dining at its best.
Also, I don’t believe I have ever seen every employee’s name and position, from top to bottom, listed on the menu. Shows respect from the owner, and I am sure that that environment created the experience that we had.
Can’t wait to return.

Visited for Easter Brunch, overall it was a good experience I’d be willing to visit again on another occasion. I ordered the Blue Crab Cakes (3/5), someone else ordered the ettouffee (5/5), pork cochon (1/5) guests didn’t enjoy the dish. Everyone enjoyed their alcoholic beverages (5/5). Desserts were okay, bourbon pie and bread pudding (2.5/5)

My husband and I went to Charley G’s for the first time for date night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff was so pleasant and informative, very professional. Charley G’s is an extremely elegant and romantic restaurant. The only thing I had a personal challenge with was the menu. It is very elevated; I am not used to such an upscale menu. Every dish was unique and there were many things I had never heard of, like Drum fish, escargot, etc. The best thing we ate was the crabcake appetizer. It was amazing! I also enjoyed the macheaux and crawfish grits. My advice is to look at the menu online before going to get a better idea of whether or not it is for you. Personally, I’m glad that I went and will return again.

Fantastic drinks and ambiance. We tried multi but the espresso martini was hands down winner!
