This was my first time visiting charles street kitchen and it didn’t disappoint. I do have to admit i mainly go to dolcinis however the service and food were amazing. Friendly staff, nice small cozy cafe, perfect for a breakfast! Only downside is one broken couch ♂️ apart from this everything went well! If you have a sweet tooth i do have to recommend the oreo crush (crazy milkshake) towered with whip cream, oreo, timtams and oreo crumb!

Waited an hour for a simple burger. Others seated after us received their food first. Around the 30-40 minute mark I followed up and it seems our order was never entered from the system the waitress was using into the main system for the kitchen. Even after this others who arrived later were being served first. No priority given due to their mistake. Credit to them for the complimentary watermelon drink but the whole experience ruined what was meant to be a gentle brunch and walk. Will not be back again.

When I first came to Australia in 2019, my family in Sydney recommended this place, but I came here after 6 years because I thought of it and wanted to come again. There were more people and it was delicious. I ate donkatsu burger and chicken salad, but I want to come again.

Charles street kitchen used to be good but they have honestly become sloppy and went downhill.
Coffee is either cold or burnt with grains at the bottom.
And what’s supposed to be a quick easy meal “ham and cheese croissant” is dry and mouldy.

3.9 – Dropped a star after I ordered the Beef Burger yesterday. It was especially disappointing after a very long 20 minute wait despite lockdowns – the burger was caked in sauce and dripping with chunks of even more sauce. The Bacon was also smothered in it and I couldn’t taste much besides the sauce. Friendly and helpful staff though! I’ve eaten other dishes there before and it was good. Liked their coffee

Good coffee and great-tasting breakfast. Really enjoyed my buttermilk pancake. The service, however, was below average. Maybe because it was a public holiday and that they were short staffed? Everything was out of order and the staff seemed lost. Other than that, a great place for breakfast and brunch.
