Very good food at a great price! The place was empty at lunch time, but that didn’t last long, as the place filled up with golfers coming in for a break! The pulled pork was phenomenal as were the chicken wings! It was a little hard to find, but well worth finding!

My wife and I stopped to have lunch and take a look at the golf course at Gull Lake View. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich and my wife had Chicken Tacos, both were delicious. Service was very good and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely visit again.

Nothing better to top off a good round of golf with good food, drinks and service. Stayed at Gull Lake View Golf Resort and we would just walk over for dinner. Even with 20 people we had no issues sitting right down. Our server was fantastic with a great memory. I recommend the Cowboy burger and onion rings.

The food is good. We don’t always think about this place but have always received good food and service. But don’t come here at the end of the day if you don’t want to listen to a bunch of loud drunk golfers. Our last visit was shared with 3 medium and 1 large group of golfers. It seemed they all were competing to be the loudest, most obnoxious group in the room. It’s part of the atmosphere since it is located in the clubhouse at a golf course. But it can still be a bit much.

It’s a golf course bar and grill. The atmosphere is more bar like with loud golfers that have been out all day. The waitress wasn’t very friendly or helpful. The food was just okay. Not much flavor. We ordered fried mushrooms, and they were still frozen, sent back, and they came out frozen again. Stuff was also missing from our order, and our waitress seemed annoyed when it was pointed out. It wasn’t too crowded, though. So if you are looking for a place that isn’t too crowded and is a little loud, but has just okay food that isn’t too expensive it might work. Chicken wings were the best thing we had. Macaroni had a weird taste.

We ordered the pulled pork platter. The food was good, but the menu specifically stated it came with 2 sides. We were charged an extra 5 dollars for the sides. The manager refused to correct this. This is price gouging and bad business!

Gull Lake is hurting for great restaurants, and Charles and Darl’s is a just good one, but still a great place to go whether you’re a golfer or not. The waitstaff are friendly, and are attentive to customers needs including kids. It handles sandwiches and burgers well, with great sides, but don’t expect too much from the BBQ. It’s fine, but I had the pulled pork, and it was served microwaved in a black plastic bowl – not particularly smokey either.

This place is not just for the golfers! Located in Gull Lake View Golf Club, you will find a quiet and cozy atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, and some unique offerings. Their chopped salads and brussel sprouts appetizer are wonderful. Generous portions too! Stop in for lunch or dinner soon!
