visited Char Grill recently and unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The hamburger was quite small, and the quality of the beef patty was disappointing—it really didn’t taste good at all. I also had issues with the bacon, which lacked the crispness I was expecting.
On the service side, the young lady at the register came across as rather rude when I politely asked if they had any hot sauce or jalapeños available. While the prices are reasonable, overall, there wasn’t anything special about the experience. I likely won’t be returning.

We’ve been customers for more years than I know. This location is bad these days. I hate to leave this review but man the quality is waaaaaaaaay down!!! Cheese burger with bacon. Where is the cheese!!!!!????? The bacon was one under cooked piece and some mushy onion mayo mix with soggy bread and two and a butt pickle.

Char-Grill is one of the best spots for hot dogs and hamburgers in Raleigh! I grew up eating here and Cook Out, and coming back during my visit to the city brought back so many memories. I had to stop by—and I’m so glad I did!
I ordered a chili hot dog (absolutely delicious), crispy seasoned fries, and a Char-Grill hamburger—the meat was flavorful and cooked just right. Everything tasted just as amazing as I remembered.

Really sweet young man helped me with my order on thurday. I was having a bad day and he took the time to talk to me, not only to make sure everything was okay but to also wish me a better rest of my day. Very sweet worker, and the cooks were amazing at their job, even doing some fun fire tricks for my son.

If you are looking for a great burger Char Grill is the place for you. We dropped by for a drive through for lunch and it did not disappoint. Their burgers are actually burgers, not some dried out pressed patties. The burgers actually taste like they are cooked on a charcoal grill. The food was great and service spot on.

The unique way to order with a paper ticket and slide it down the shoot, wait outside, watch them grill the burger… It’s all a great experience. The smell of the burgers being cooked hooks a person into wanting a burger.
The burger itself was more of a let down. This isn’t the first time here so maybe a bad day but based on what was received for this experience, it wasn’t good at all. The steak sandwich was just thrown away after looking at it. The char burger was not great at all. The bacon looks like a cheap microwaved brand. The fries were fine and just average.

I have been eating here for years and the hotdogs are my favorite! They melt in your mouth and they still have the red hotdogs, my favorite. I went there on 5/23/24 and the paper was stuck to my hotdogs and I had peel it off piece by piece. I suggest to start using foil…
