We went in during a Saturday lunch and they were pretty fast. The burgers aren’t greasy, nice sized the meat pretty good but their fries are their star. Crispy perfect and super hot with generous servings.

Char Grill has been my go-to burger joint for the past 15 years. This location is horrible. I ordered my steak JR combo and received it cold. I literally had to wait 20 minutes until my food was “ready” for it to be served cold to me. I pointed out to the cashier that the food was cold but she was looking at me like I was speaking another language. She couldn’t comprehend what I was telling her. Finally they decide to make my food over again. The embarrassing part for me was when the cashier/manager kept saying over and over “make sure his cheese is melted” as if he was trying to deliberately embarrass me. Whatever, who cares… when my food finally came out it had mayonnaise slopped all over the bottom of the bread. They literally used half a jar of mayo for my remake. These young kids don’t know customer service and or they just don’t care. I’ll attach some photos below for proof.

The chicken nuggets here are FAR better than anywhere else. Burgers and fries are always fresh and delicious. I never feel gross and bloated after eating at Char Grill either. It’s a true North Carolina staple.

First time at a Char Grill. Cute little burger joint with better than average quality fast food. Food was freshly made and served hot. Ordered the 1/4 pd cheeseburger and fries. I would definitely return.

Great place to stop and have lunch. Restaurant was clean and well organized. Eays in and out of the parking lot. Drive through is wide and easy to maneuver in. Restrooms were clean and had ample space to move around if you need it. Staff was friendly and helpful. For those who cannot have sugar in their drinks they have diet fountain drinks and unsweetened tea and they have Splenda as a sweetener if you need it.

The service was wonderful. I can say that but the food was horrible. I spent about $15 for that restaurant. I just ordered different things and it was not great. The hotdog bun was still the french fries tasted like they have been sitting under the light for a while, not a great atmosphere when you’re thinking of char grill now this Location and Wakeforest not the best but if you want great service, great food and it’s fresh maybe go to the one near NC State that might be your best bet near the college

I’ll be honest, the negative reviews made me question trying this place. Glad that I gave them a chance. My experience had shown that sometimes, disgruntled employees or applicants will leave negative reviews. I look past those and try to see for myself.
First, Jessa took my order from the drive-thru. Extremely polite and I could hear her smile through the speaker and I was not wrong. She greeted me when I pulled up to the window and was as pleasant as she sounded. HUGE plus right off the bat. The wait was not long, granted, they have been open a few weeks and it was a Friday at 11am but nonetheless, the visit was quick. My food was hot, so hot It was hard to hold the burger long enough to snap this photo, lol. The photo BTW, is to show that the burgers are not RAW as a few have said. Great taste, great service, great value. I will be back.

The owners and their daughter have become friends due to mutual interests. The food is always good. We stop there almost every time we go through Wake Forest.
