Jo-Jo potatoes are a MUST order. The Wagyu meatloaf was delicious and a huge portion. The street corn side was fantastic. Great atmosphere. Our waiter was super helpful explaining everything. Back to the Jo-Jo potatoes it’s like they take a whole potatoes and somehow get it all crispy bits inside so it’s like a baked potato meets crispy potato wedges and then seasoned to perfection.

There is tons of inside seating, covered patio and outside seating available. There’s a whole thing for kids to play on with corn hole and giant connect 4 and jenga. Plenty of veggie options. They are all clearly labeled. We tried the jackfruit sando, it was great. The sides were awesome. The bbq sauces were so good. I loved the sweet one. Excellent beer selection, good service. Very happy we stopped in.

First time at this location, always been a fan of the Parkville location and of Meat Mitch in general. We got the massive meat sampler along with the chimichanga (I think that’s what it was) and it was all amazing. Mac and Cheese was fantastic too.
Our server was super friendly and attentive and the whole building has a great vibe. Lots of BBQ choices here in KC, but Char Bar is the one I always come back to.
Oh and dessert was the perfect capper!

I grabbed these dishes to-go, and WOW! Char Bar absolutely delivered. The portions were huge, the flavors were even better, and the BBQ had that perfect balance of smokey and sweet with a mild heat that sneaks up on you in the best way.
But the real game-changer? The fried pickle on top of the pulled pork and the mac-cheese. One bite and I was sold on the entire meal.
Coming from the South, we’re notoriously picky about our BBQ, but Char Bar impressed me enough that I’ll be back on my next trip. If you’re debating trying it… stop debating and go. Your taste buds will thank you!

An amazing BBQ spot with excellent food, plenty of options, and reasonable prices!
We were recommended this spot by a friend who had been before and had recommended the CBGB burger. While we decided on other options the BBQ did not disappoint. The burnt ends melt in your mouth literally and were so tasty. The fried pickle was surprisingly delicious. The ribs were also good. You really can’t go wrong here. The onion rings were also fried perfectly.
Service was excellent. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to give us a refill without suffocating us.
The ambiance is casual. Great for family seating or a day out with the guys or gals.
We highly recommend this place if you’re in KC and with other bars just around the corner you can make a full night of it!

Hands DOWN the Best BBQ in Kc,Mo! Its off the charts fantastic! The rub is delicious no sauce needed. You can easily enjoy the plump melt in your mouth flavorierful ribs, the smoke of the wood chips- incredible,that set these ribs apart from all others. The burnt ends were NOT fatty; they were juicy and tender with the perfect light crisp on the ends!!! OMG da’ mac-n-cheez,,,just saying you better jump in with all fours, ’cause chef done put their foot in it!!! The broccoli slaw yum, I’d toss some dried cranberries in to take it up a notch. The sweet potato fries – perfectly seasoned with crispyness no ketchup needed. The baked beans bring little heat, you’ll sit tall in your seat an dive in for more!

Home made BBQ Sauce is really good and the Pork Shank I had was both massive and delicious. Fall off the bone good, felt like I was eating a large piece of meat at a Ren faire.
Corn Bread was great and I was a big fan of the Chive butter with it, it’s a wonderful combo. Wish it would come with honey but we didn’t ask and I’d assume if we did they’d have it.
Building was a bit hot, but it was also 98 outside and we were in a busy Saturday night restaurant.

I had the burnt end pastrami and it was okay. The presentation was amazing. My husband had the large chicken wings and again they were okay. My daughter had the chicken tenders and they were amazing!!!! Had a sauce flight and all!!! I also tried the broccoli bacon slaw and o think it could have had a bit more bacon. Our server was amazing she was 10/10.

The cheesesteak was good! You’d think the sandwiches would come with a choice of side, but over all the food was good. The service on the other hand was buns. We only ever saw our server when he brought out drinks and the check.

We ordered the womp for two dinner and were very disappointed. We received small sides and a bag of four onion rings not the large portions as advertised. The meat was very dry and flavorless. I will not ever order from them again, nor will I go there. For 78 dollars I should have gone to gates or zarda, at least there I know what I’m getting.
