My husband and I visited New Orleans for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We stopped by a few of our usual spots and tried some new ones, and Chapter IV was the last restaurant on our list. We definitely saved the best for last.
The service was excellent!!! Friendly staff, smiling faces, and very attentive throughout the whole meal. The establishment itself is beautifully decorated and very classy. It was truly a breath of fresh air. You can tell the owner and staff pay close attention to detail, from the fresh flowers on the tables to the presentation and flavor of the food.
The atmosphere is a 10/10. The music plays lightly in the background at the perfect volume, making it easy to enjoy a conversation without having to raise your voice.
The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. This restaurant truly stands apart from the rest. We will definitely be back.

My first time brunching in New Orleans and I’m glad it was at the beautiful location Chapter IV. This spot is walking distance from the Saints football stadium and Pelicans basketball stadium which is perfect for people who want to indulge in good food and sports.
When we walked in we were greeted by manager Erin who was so nice and felt like a friend from home. The interior was lively, with a bar and tv for those who want to watch the games.
Our waiter Jena was very helpful and gave us the best recommendations. My husband and I loved her! We ordered the following: Brunch champagne mimosas special, Oyster Rockefeller, Crab fried rice, Crab cake, Gumbo, Bbq shrimp omelette, Seafood pasta, Bread pudding. Every single thing was so full of flavor and delicious. The drinks were hitting, and the gumbo and bbq shrimp omelette were my fave! But the very best thing on the menu was the bread pudding…OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Come to find out this Black owned establishment is the son of Dooky Chase restaurant. It’s great to see how much African American culture is celebrated here on the walls with the beautiful pictures. I can’t wait to come back and also I hope to check out the original Dooky Chase restaurant one day!

I had oysters 10 million ways since I was a kid but never on a bed of spinach with a pickled jalapeno on top. I’m going to go back and just get three orders of that for dinner. The catfish with the corn machoux with crawfish and andouille on top of it was a very unique and creative combination served on top of perfectly cooked and seasoned grits. We also had the appetizer with the three Asian ribs and three Asian wings which was perfect because I like getting a variety.

Lovely location with a clean modern feel. Location are good with some unique holiday creations. But the food…WOW grits so creamy they are other worldly. Red fish is seasoned to perfection and a must have. For something different, try the crab fried rice. Don’t miss the gumbo either. Food comes out hot and fresh without a long wait. We had the bread pudding and the apple cobbler for dessert. Both were excellent and relied on the flavors and not the sugar. The prices were very reasonable and the food quality outstanding.

Good: The restaurant is beautiful… and the food was great. The oyster benedict was so crispy and light, colorful and satisfying. They really put the biscuit to work in this plate. Add a little hot sauce and some red pepper flakes… an afterthought is a dollop of sour cream. I could have eaten this twice. Eh: There’s not a lot of crab in the crab bisque. Don’t try to struggle with the crab leg in the soup; it is decor. There’s less meat in there than one crawfish. Bad: There was a kid at the front who has really mastered that you don’t belong here face when I gave her the name for the RSVP (hilarious) but two lovely women came to quickly
redeem the introduction. The seats are cute and uncomfortable. There are no hooks for purses on the tables (unsure if they are under the bar). We had a corner table which trapped one of chairs (or slid the dining in the way of the bathroom). I would get rid of it. Overall: I would go for the low seats over the high chairs. Leave the purse in the car… though perhaps there are some hooks at the bar? I love a clean, well decorated restaurant, and the food here is better than at Dookie Chase.

I visited Chapter IV for their Saturday brunch. I ordered the Oyster Rockefeller and the Grilled Redfish.
The Oyster Rockefeller came with crispy fried oysters, creamed spinach, pickled red onions and jalapeños. The dish needed a bit of salt but was otherwise great!
The Grilled Redfish came with crab fried rice and grilled zucchini/squash. The fish was cooked to perfection. The crab fried rice offered a nice contrast in texture to the flaky fish. The grilled vegetables were simple but nice.

Beautiful spot! I made Friday lunch reservations for 2 through Resy. Street parking was available. There is paid parking on the left side of the street and free parking on the right side. We were seated at bar table with an outside view. The decor was beautiful but our high table was wobbly. Our server was a nice young lady. She made a great suggestion for mocktails. We went with the Leah’s Garden. It was sweet and delicious. We started with the Thai Chili Ribs and Wings. These were good. 3 wings and 3 ribs. For our entrees we both went with the grilled redfish served with crab fried rice and yellow and green zucchini. This dish was just okay. The fish was seasoned well but the crab fried rice was a big let down. It tasted like boxed rice with carrots and added piece of crab. The zucchini lacked flavor. Overall, great atmosphere. I’d probably return to try more appetizers and brunch.

We came here from Miami. A dear friend recommended Chapter 4. This place was Phenomenal from start to finish. We got greeted with a smile and got accommodated to a table where I could charge my phone. Our server was Jena she was Fantastic! We asked her opinion on some dishes and we got the grilled redfish crab rice with yellow and zucchini squash. It was a party in my mouth. Finished it with the in house made bread pudding another wonderful dish. I also got a mocktail it was refreshing and also tasty. This meal and experience was one of the highlights of our trip. Hands down to the cook and Jena for being so sweet and fun. I highly recommend coming here for an exquisite experience.

Amazing place with really good vibes and food. Be prepared that lunch won’t take less than 1.5 hours, as service is a bit slow.
Oysters Rockefeller were the only dish that we didn’t like (a bit dry, spinach overpowered, oysters really didn’t taste like anything), but other dishes were so good that we just let it go.
Shrimp and grits were great and flavourful as well as crab cake.
We had creole cheesecake as a final accord, and it was light and delicious.
Watermelon margaritas were great on this hot humid day.
