Shevan (hope I’m spelling that right!) was a great host for me during my first visit. I got the prosciutto carpaccio, roasted mushroom tapas dish, and the chicken tagine. Every dish was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The executive chef Bernie gave me a quick tour of the kitchen and prep stations and it’s no surprise to me the quality of the product after seeing the quality of the prep that goes into every dish behind the scenes. Phenomenal. The coffee vanilla gelato was also amazing. No notes. Thank you Bernie and team!!

Dishes were flavorful but portions ARE small – even the large plates! Their paella was a pleasant surprise with a bit of spicy hot flavor. The best was their cheesecake. Ample seating with a parking deck above. Must ask to validate parking. Friendly staff and prompt service. Cautiously recommended

My wife and I finally tried Chapter 6 tonight and it was absolutely incredible. The decor and ambiance are absolutely gorgeous and all of the tile selections are beautiful. We ordered the whipped ricotta, charred broccoli, gazpacho shooters, shrimp skewers and the short rib bolognese. Each dish was seasoned perfectly and the flavors kept on giving. We sat at the bar and had the best date night. The staff was all so friendly and I think this may be our favorite restaurant in charlotte now. It’s hard for short rib dishes to not be too rich and the restaurant flawlessly delivered bold flavors without the awful full belly feeling. Have zero complaints or feedback, just an all around perfectly executed evening.

Tina with Offline – From the food to the atmosphere, everything was great!! I had the amuse-bouche or tuna tartare, the Caesar salad and the octopus. I don’t know how they prepared it, but it was the best I’ve ever had in my life!!! I also had a great convo and am espresso martini with the bartender with the ginger hair. I don’t remember his name, but he was super sweet and makes great drinks. Definitely a MUST VISIT!!! I’ll be back with friends.

Our friends had been raving about this place for months. We finally made reservations to check it out. Unfortunately when we got there, our reservation did not show in their system despite our email confirmation. They hustled to get us a table. Unfortunately the only table available was near the service door. They quickly moved us to a new spot once something more suitable became available. Great quick customer service at its finest! The food was amazing. We want to go back to try the things we could not get. Our favorite item being the amuse bućh. And then to follow the tuna ceviche, the green garbanzo beans, mushroom gnocchi, eggplant and beef skewer. Every plate had great flavor! On a personal note, the restaurant felt a little large and more mess hall aesthetic, less intimate. I personally like a cozy space, but besides that everything was beyond perfect.

Had a date night with the wife.
We ordered 2 dips the confit garlic , and the melty nduja which came with grilled bread , verde chickpeas, roasted carrots, 2 skewers the wagyu, and the lamb kefta, along with the Octopus , and lamb gnocchi.

Highlights :

The garlic confit . If you don’t mind garlic breath . Go for it!! It was so damn good it blended well with other parts of the dinner as well.

The chickpea verde. THIS WAS A SLEEPER! If u can get it to come out the same time as the garlic confit do it. Cannot stress how well this paired together on the grilled bread. I’d come back for these two alone.

Octopus and chorizo. It’s good. What makes it isn’t the octopus alone. But the blend of the hominy and the sauce.

Had a great time.

Pro tip: get reservations. If not the wait can’t be an hour long around prime time (5-8pm) on weekends

Update brunch was outstating. Amazing food. Very pleasant host and servers. Beautiful restaurant. Hats off to the outstating chefs!!! The roasted mushrooms were super delicious. The melted nduja with house bread and the roasted carrots were also amazing. The cheesecake is a must for dessert. It was so good we ate some before we could even get a picture of the full piece. The flavors in each dish are top notch and beautiful. A unique experience with a unique blend of ingredients. Great vibe for date night or plenty of room for group. Definitely recommend! We will be back for sure! Actually went back for breakfast and the French toast was out of sight as well as the chefs whim frittata. The Moroccan mint tea was very refreshing.

Chapter 6 is hands down one of my favorite places. Two dishes that are always in my order are the roasted carrots and verde chickpeas. Gorgeous in flavor, color and texture.
The roasted carrots have a creamy texture from roasting and are sweet enough from the maple glaze and caramelization naturally occurring from roasting that they could be served for dessert. Add some tahini and pomegranates and you have my favorite way to eat carrots.

The Verde chickpeas is another solid winner. First of all,who knew that chickpeas could be green. Turns out green chickpeas are actually a young chickpeas and wonderful paired with the preserved lemon yogurt sauce, and topping of peppers, pine nuts and bits of roasted eggplant. It’s always the first thing I order.

4.5/5 – A Memorable Experience with One Unfortunate Bite

We recently had dinner at Chapter 6 before heading to a Charlotte FC match, and overall it was a truly fantastic experience. The restaurant has a bright, airy, welcoming feel and we were among the first to arrive for the evening. From the start, service was top-notch—our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and informative throughout the entire meal.

My wife and I opted for “The Treatment”, which is their chef-curated tasting experience. You let the kitchen decide your courses—on and off menu—and it supports a rotating charity with a $5 donation per guest. We’d heard great things from friends and were excited to try it. The server asked about any allergies or preferences, and we specifically requested the paella, one of my wife’s favorite dishes.

The early courses were excellent. A fried oyster appetizer special stole the show early—it was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed charred broccoli, whipped ricotta, and a rigatoni dish that was, hands down, the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. I don’t typically rave about pasta, but I genuinely didn’t want that dish to end.

The final savory course was the paella, and aside from one unfortunate moment (more on that in a second), it was very good. Beautifully presented, full of flavor, and loaded with large, perfectly cooked shrimp. However, my last bite—literally the final clam in the bowl—was clearly bad. The taste was so foul I had to spit it out, and for a moment I genuinely thought I was going to be sick. I’m assuming it was a clam that had died before cooking, something that can occasionally slip through even with careful prep. It didn’t ruin the entire meal, but it definitely tainted the ending.

We informed our server, who was very apologetic and said he would inform the kitchen. To their credit, they brought out a dessert course that was lovely, and also offered a complimentary slice of cheesecake as a gesture—though it was gifted to our guests, not to me (the one who ate the bad clam), which made us chuckle a bit.

Despite that one hiccup, everything else about the evening was memorable—in the best way. The ambiance, the service, the pacing, and the quality of the dishes were excellent. We would absolutely return and still recommend “The Treatment” to others. I’d just suggest extra care with the shellfish—and maybe avoid saving the clams for last!
