I ordered the Western burger, cooked medium-well, and it was phenomenal—easily one of the best grilled burgers I’ve had at a restaurant. The fresh-cut fries on the side were the perfect complement, crispy and flavorful. Sitting at the bar was a great choice too; I got to chat with the friendly staff while they worked the grill and prep. The whole experience felt welcoming and fun. If you love a perfectly cooked burger and a casual, engaging atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit!

Absolutely delicious burgers!!!! My husband and I were recommended to come here and we are so glad that we did! He had the Rancher burger and I had a Bacon and cheese burger. I definitely recommend having pickles with them! Great staff and cook!

Doesn’t feel like any other place. It is quaint. The place is alive. The food is very good. If I was good at backyard barbecue I’d hope to make fries, mac & cheese and burgers like Cappy’s.

What a neat little spot in the heart of Westcliff! Popped in for a drink and ended up sitting at the bar for hours. Great food, cold beer and the nicest staff you could hope for! Come down and enjoy your time, the locals sure know what’s up! Join them!

The food was incredibly good. We had a very long wait (an hour) at dinner time (around 6pm) for our food and they eventually just started turning people away. But it was well worth it and we were so glad we slipped in our order before they shut things down!

Cute place downtown. Stopped in for a fire grilled burger and it was busy. Got a table and service pretty quickly. Remember this is not fast food so don’t expect to be in and out in ten minutes, but it’s worth the wait. Burger was fresh and the buns were great. Bite me burger had good flavor without too much heat. We were able to watch the hot job at the grill and everything is prepared fresh. Bacon was thick and crispy and the produce was all fresh. French fries and onion rings were both a win! A little on the pricey side of things but it’s a tourist town and the food is good.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch during a road trip. If he was writing this review, it would be Five Stars. His burger looked fantastic, and he said it was great more than one time. I could see that it was cooked a perfect medium rare, was hand formed,p thick and had ample toppings. I can’t eat read meat, however, so this review is for what I had.
My house salad with grilled chicken and blue cheese dressing was more of a 5 than a 4. It had green leaf lettuce instead of the standard iceberg or romaine. I really appreciated that. The grilled chicken was standard. If you want beef, this is the place to go.
The home made Mac and cheese was very good, and clearly made in house from actual ingredients. It is the MnC every kid should have grown up with. It took me back to my mom’s kitchen table in 1959. (Yep, I’m that old.)
We both had iced tea. My friend said it was the best he’s had in a long time. I thought mine was good, but perhaps just a bit stale. Our friendly and efficient server kept our glasses full.
The kitchen seemed a little backed up, based on how long it took our order to come out. There was a good crowd for 1:30 / 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday, but it wasn’t packed.
Clearly, if you want lunch in Westcliffe, this is the place to go. Lunch was my friend’s treat because I did all the driving; I hope he tipped well.

My sister and I loved it here. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was so good and the staff was super nice we loved the fried pickles because they were super crunchy and had a lot of good flavor. Everything was really good. My sister had a hamburger and fries, and I had the chicken strips and fries, both amazing as well.

Wonderful place to eat. Very kind and efficient staff even though very busy on a Holiday weekend!! Very impressed!!! My only “complaint” was our burgers were more like medium instead of medium Rare but I understand they were busy. The food was great pretty much what you’d expect from a bar and grill.
