I absolutely love this little cafe, but beware if you have food allergies. Got an absolutely phenomenal sandwich, but they left on the ingredient I wanted removed and now I’m covered in hives. Otherwise the staff is very kind, the food is amazing, and the ambiance is perfect, still my favorite spot.

The atmosphere is nice and even when busy the seating area is quiet enough to comfortably work in. The issue is the food is quite expensive for what you get. I ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich for $16 and it arrived with sad lettuce, thin slices of tomato, one slice of chicken, and regular mayo. I guess the chicken may have been the chipotle part but it was disappointing for the price. Good coffee though.

We ordered cake, a double espresso, and a cafe mocha. They gave us our slice of delicious cake. We finished it and didn’t get our coffee order until 20 minutes later. It was pretty ridiculous. At one point, the people behind the counter were not making coffees. I don’t think someone who orders drinks should have to wait until someone’s sandwich or food order is being filled before getting their coffee. That seems to be what was happening.

The Chapbook Cafe is such a cozy spot! The food and drinks are delicious; my personal favorite order is a hot chai latte with a scone! As an added bonus, the employees are friendly and quick to whip up your order! 11/10, would recommend.

My Mocha tastes like just hot chocolate, literally no coffee taste, and they only filled the cup half way. My wife’s Chai also tastes strongly of Oat milk for some reason. Pretty disappointed given the pricing is worse than Starbucks but they can’t even serve me coffee when I order it

This place has been really cozy and I love that it’s part of the bookstore. I like getting the coffee and carrot cake, the other similar cakes aren’t all that good, but that carrot cake is the best. Sadly, I can’t trust their hours, they always seem to be closing early and shutting everything down before they are closed. Today I showed up at 4:55 only to find out they didn’t have any coffee because they were closing early. With as many people as were seated, why close early? I wasted my time coming here, again.

The location inside the bookstore is great. The service was horrible, there were 4 workers in the front and no one seemed to know how to ring up a simple menu item. A small flavored coffee was close to $8, and it tasted like it came out of the sewer. Would not recommend.
