This is hands down my favorite Mexican food in town. The chicken fajitas are my favorite!! My husband and I love to share them. The salsa is delicious, and I love the warm chips they serve with your meal. The workers are always so friendly. Highly recommend.

Chapala has been a “go to” place for Mexican American style food, for years. I LOVE their Refried Beans here. The quality of each meal I have eaten here, is always superb, food is always fresh, hot & delicious. The staff are all nice, the Owner is constantly there & very customer service oriented. I remember when he hurt his hand. He could/should have stayed home, but nope he was at the Restaurant, making sure his clientele was being well taking care of! The outside is a sweet place to enjoy your food & the inside is warm & inviting. Free warm chips & cool salsa comes with every meal. The meals are large, so be warned, you’ll need a to go box when you’re done. Today I had a Poquito combination of a Chicken Tamale, Rice & Beans. My dining partner ordered the Shrimp Fajitas, which came on a large sizzling skillet, but also comes with a full plate of rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo veggies & corn or flour Tortillas!! She said it was terrific & so was mine. I have never had a bad meal here. I don’t sneeze but, my mouth does get super dried out after eating here, so theres that little bump in my eating road. For those that follow me, y’all know what those indications are showing. Still, I will continue coming here, because I do like it.

Good good and portions. Had a 2-Taco Combination Plate, tacos were loaded high with shredded cheese. The salsa is on the edge of hot, but reasonable, and a good mix.
Friends had the nachos and were thrilled! Plenty of toppings, ground beef had a distinct and great taste (I’m told). Even the scallions received compliments.
We sat indoors, and there is seating available both indoor and outdoor (with heat posts).

Really good food, service (staff was so good) and atmosphere. This is more on the expensive side but the food and portions were totally worth it. You can get a fajita plate to share if you don’t eat heavy. Highly recommend 🙂

Went on a Saturday afternoon and to our surprise it wasn’t packed and didn’t have to wait to be seated, service was quick. The horchata could’ve been better. We got one plate of Enchilada Lasagna and one plate of normal Beef Enchiladas which you can’t go wrong with. Environment inside was pretty loud so not the best place for a romantic date.

Cool atmosphere, mostly kind staff (although fairly unattentive…annoying to some, a good thing to others, you decide).
The dinner was not super great (mostly the melted American cheese squares on top was a big turn off, after being surprised to see everything covered in a cheese square I looked it up & apparently that is a thing for this dish… I, however, have never seen a slice of American cheese on any Pollo Fundido I have tried elsewhere. Maybe some love it? It’s not for me & the flavors just dont blend well. I do not recommend.
