Visiting Chantilly’s feels like stepping back in time, in a good way. A classic bar, a bit dive-ish, but full of cheerful people. Affordable food and drink with a vibe that is increasingly rare. Would visit again.

I have visited this place about 4 times including this past weekend . It’s a fun bar with friendly people that hang out there. Regular bar; in the best, most nostalgic, wholesome way. A place like Chantilly’s, for good reason, could be found along&throughout Appalachia, or filled with familiar patrons in any Urban neighborhood; roadside in the mid-country, or in the forest or desert of Pacific America.

Bar tended still can’t hear very well since I last stopped in a year ago. The other customers agree with me, even on Super Bowl night. She couldn’t even bother to pour a Bud Light when the local IPA was out, and just assumed my tastes from knowing me through other bartender friends, and poured a random other beer. It’s too bad, since they updated the sign and added outdoor seating. Seems like she needs supervision at a different place before returning to late night shifts, with additional, more experienced staff and managers.

I’m sure they stay open for the reason, but a friend and I went there for an impromptu breakfast and we nearly walked out before sitting down because of how “yucky” the place was at first glance. But we were fixed for time and we braved ahead. Waitress came with an attitude that we were a nuisance (seriously), and we just asked for coffee and menus. Coffee came (as did the waitress with the once again attitude that we were interrupting her smoke break or otherwise ruining her morning) and again we braved through it. We both mixed our warm coffee the way we typically like it, took a sip or two each, and couldn’t put a $5 bill on the table and leave quick enough. So quick in fact, that I left my phone on the table on my awkward trot out of that place. I can’t think of a place I can advise more strongly against. It seemed like a breakfast spot meant for the people who closed the bar there the night before.

My first night in Sunpeaks and this restaurant was superb. Everything we ordered was delicious- curry, Jambalaya, calamari and tomato coconut soup..oh almost forgot the mango cheesecake yum! Highly recommend.

Great bar to catch a game and have a few beers or drinks. The bartenders are amazing haven’t tried the food or may have rated higher or lower. Only issue I had is one regular customer is pretty rude to everyone in the establishment. Unfortunately haven’t been back since because of one individual that rubs everybody the wrong way. A couple other regulars told me that’s just how he is ignore him. Problem is why should all the other customers have to deal with that one regular.
