This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Cape. The food is good, though they tend to use more garnishing than the main ingredient.

First time for my husband and I to come here. It was just wonderful. The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. The food was good, I didn’t care much for the egg roll, but I did like everything else. Our waitress was just wonderful. We loved her friendly smile and efficient style. 6-2-23 6:45 pm.

Food was kinda bland but it did taste good. Service was awesome and food came fast.
There was 16 of us (family dinner) and everyone forgot to call ahead, but they got us in fast and with smiles.
The cost was great, $180 for all of us, wow that was awesome.

I would absolutely agree with the recognition the locals have given this excellent restaurant.
Our meals included the Hot and Sour Soup, the fabulous Shrimp Rangoon, Generals Tso’s Chicken, my favorite the Chop Suey and a dish that only people that have lived in Missouri probably know about, the “Springfield Style Cashew Chicken.”
We all ordered Hot and Sour Soup. The waitress asked if we had ever had it here, because it is a “little different” she said. She brought out a sample for us to try. It was different. It was very good, but I would call it Hot and slightly Sweet Soup! The Shrimp Rangoon was the most crispy, delightful wontons we have ever had! The Chop Suey was perfect. The General Tso’s Chicken was a little different. The sauce had some tomato base to it. It was not oily or syrupy, a really nice flavor.
Then there was the Springfield Style Cashew Chicken. This Dish originated at Leong’s Tea House in Springfield, MO. Instead of stir-fried chicken, it is deep-fried then covered with a sauce made from chicken stock, soy sauce and oyster sauce, topped off with cashews and green onions.
Nice, friendly staff providing very good service.

02-22-26 my family and I had dinner here for the first time, it will NOT be the last. Food and service was wonderful, and the atmosphere, for me, was nostalgic and inviting. Thank you for that experience!

My wife and I had dinner at Chan’s during a trip to Cape Girardeau. First of all, the staff was great. The food was a different story. My egg rolls tasted like old grease and the duck sauce was watery. We had Kung Pow Chicken. It was bland to the point of being nearly tasteless. Not spicy at all. Some of the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. I gave 2 stars because our waitress was great.

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. When I’m in town I eat here at least once a week sometimes two! They have the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had! And the cashew chicken is also a favorite of mine. That’s my usual orders but when I order some thing else it’s good too

We are not local from this area. We stopped there for lunch on our road trip. We always order our favorite regular Chinese food. But this time we saw picture of this Spicy Pork Intestine and it looked so yummy but we weren’t sure. We decided to try it anyway along with our other regular favorite items. First we were hesitated to try it because it didn’t look like it is fried (I forgot to ask waitress if it is fried or not). The answer is it was not fried. Oh man it was very spicy but so perfect for our taste. It was unexpectedly super delicious. I highly recommend it to you if you can handle spicy. We always order sweet and sour soup too but we didn’t like it here. It was too sweet and so yellow in color. That was our disappointment. But other food were great!

They had excellent food and service. My Mei Fun wasn’t super greasy like some places make it. The pork was good and roasted, not just pan cooked. They also have super cute origami money decor all over the restaurant.

The food is always good. If you like Spicy, I suggest the Hot and Spicy pork. If it comes with white rice, it is always so good. It comes with sliced fresh jalapeño and dried peppers.. The egg rolls are big and fried to perfection. The crunch is so good. The hot mustard, Laawwwwd! It’s so good and hot. It takes my breath away. I have to mix it with duck sauce to correct the amount of hot and good flavor.
