I ordered from Chan’s Chinese Food for pickup while on a business trip to Jacksonville. I liked that they offer a no MSG option. When I arrived, my food was ready, hot, and well packaged. They included utensils, napkins, and both soy and orange sauce in the bag. The egg roll was crispy, and the triple sweet and sour with chicken, pork, and shrimp was delicious. The sauce had just the right balance of sweet and tangy. The only part I didn’t love was the fried rice. It was a bit sticky, dark in color, and didn’t have much flavor. I prefer the lighter yellow fried rice with small pieces of vegetables and protein that some other places serve. Overall, it was a good meal. Not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, but definitely not the worst. Chan’s is a solid choice for a satisfying takeout meal.

You can never go wrong with the curry chicken and fried rice at Chan’s Chinese Food. It’s truly a family-owned establishment where you can see the entire family working together—it’s always nice to support a place like that.
The children even enjoy helping out, spending their summer learning valuable lessons that will serve them well in the future.

The portions are absolutely generous, offering great value, and the people are incredibly friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to see the lobby open again, allowing me to sit down and enjoy my curry chicken in a comfortable setting. Don’t miss the lunch specials, available from 11 AM to 2:30 PM every day—they’re a fantastic deal.

I came for lunch and ended up with so much leftovers I’ll be able to enjoy dinner as well. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Im staying in an AirBnB just around the corner, so I decided to walk over and give this place a try. Ordered Orange Chicken with noodles and a Sprite. Got back to my room and was pleased to find a good serving size of both chicken and noodles. Everything was fresh and tasty. The chicken was lightly breaded which is great. All in all, a very satisfying meal.

This place recommended by multiple people, including my husband. It is one of the worst chinese restaurants in Jacksonville that I tried thus far. The rice is old and overcooked, the fried chicken tasted old, ordered a large wonton soup and it had only 3 pieces of wonton, the egg rolls nasty. $40 wasted, but a lesson learned and I will not be a repeat customer.

Ordered take out during lunch time. Their food was flavorful and you get a decent amount. The egg roll didn’t have much inside of it, it was mainly breading. While the orange chicken was good, they give you huge pieces so I only got about 6 pieces.

Charged me for gravy and didn’t give me my gravy. Food was good but I wanted my gravy. I came 1/22/26 after 11am in case you want to give me my gravy

Lunch special chicken with garlic sauce was $7.45; plate looks as if I bought a plate or rice with garlic sauce and veggies as a side.
They’ve taken down the items included and actually got mad when I asked to repeat the small list of items.
Don’t waist the time or money here.

Chance has absolutely the best fried rice of any Chinese restaurant in the city. I enjoy all of their meals that I’ve ever gotten from there.

This restaurant sucks! I see why they do drive in only so you can’t see how the food looks and how it’s prepared. I just spent $37 on 3 tasteless meals. The fried chicken has no seasonings on it, the rice is old and mushy, the egg they add is minimal, I mean less than a quarter of an egg goes in the rice! If u get egg fried rice they charge extra but they take the veggies out, what sense does that make? So you get plain fried rice with no veggies and a little scrambled egg. This is ridiculous!! I ordered the egg fu young, shrimp wThis is one of the worse Chinese place I’ve ever eaten! They will never get my money againith garlic sauce and boneless spare ribs with chicken fried rice and chicken wingettes! 6 wingettes for $6… I was expecting whole chicken and wings! The egg rolls are greasy and and don’t have much in them. This Chinese place would never make it in NJ/NY, that’s why they in Jax. This is Complete trash ️ I really want my money back they messed up my Friday night with this horrendous meal.

After completing a very difficult endurance event, I just wanted Chinese food delivered to my hotel. The woman on the phone was very friendly and understood my need for it to be delivered even though they are right next door. I’ve had many Generals Tsos Chicken and this is by far the best ever. Thank you!
