Friendly staff and clean dining. I had the steak street tacos that were pretty tasty. I know the price for everything has gone up and will probably keep going up. With that said I was disappointed having paid $10 for the three tacos that did not come with chips and salsa. I have been spoiled on getting chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants.

Changos Locos, that is Spanish for “Crazy Hours, or Seldom Open.” On their Facebook page the owner says 11am – 2pm. No days of the week indicated. Yelp has 9am-4pm and closed Monday. No hours shown on Google Reviews. Changos Locos has a website, no hours shown there either. We were there at 10:48 today. Closed, no cars in the parking lot. We circled back at 11, no change. On to plan B. There is a Café in Fairland that I had been wanting to try.
If someone is reading this review and actually knows what hours and days Changos Locos is open, please do not disclose that information to anyone. It is obviously information that the restaurant does not want to be known by the general public.
Too bad, the food looks good. I was willing to give it a try.

So I was in the mood for an early lunch. Didn’t really want anything heavy but had a craving for something savory. Then I remembered that there was a nice quaint little Mexican restaurant just as you head into Monkey Island..

This is by far the most authentic tacos I’ve found in an hour radius. The barbacoa or carnita tacos are definitely my favorite. Their quesadillas are so perfectly crispy. You never would expect such good Mexican food on the island! Also the owner is such a vibe, very friendly, and always makes you feel welcome! He’s a local artist too and has a lot of his art on display throughout the restaurant. This is an eccentric experience that you can’t miss out on and is worth the drive. Get there early because they can definitely sell out of a lot throughout the day! We go 3+ times a week for lunch.

Don’t let this place fool you, yes it may be pricey but by far the best burrito I’ve had in a long time. I recommend trying every sauce, even the super spicy is delicious in flavor. 5 out of 5 recommended this to anyone wondering if they should give it a shot.

My girlfriend and I were driving through Oklahoma and we stopped off at this Mexican restaurant. We heard good things about the restaurant so we had to try it. The food and service was exceptional!! I highly recommend you try this place. All the food looked good, but I had to get my favorite: a carne asada taco and a chicken burrito. Was so good we ordered more for the road!!

We were searching for a place to eat after leaving Bernice Park. Really glad we noticed this place near the gas station and liquor store.
My husband had an amazing quesadilla and I had a dirty chicken burrito. Nice mix of fresh cilantro and chorizo. Full of flavor and fresh hot salsa.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Carnitad Burrito, and it was amazing! Onions, cilantro, rice, beans, and very flavorful Carnitas!!!! I’m not in Grove all that much, but this is my stop for lunch when I am!!!! See you soon!!!!!

Honestly was a nice place. Seems like they definitely get the business around there! The food had a lot of flavoring of what we could buy. Unfortunately we hit this place when they got hit hard with customers! So all we could get was basically just beef which is fine. I definitely don’t mind going back to try it again and hopefully get to try the other food and meat!

Excellent food! Changos offers unique and incredible Mexican fare unlike anything else in the entire Grand Lake area. Any time you find yourself nearby looking for a fantastic fresh made lunch I strongly recommend Changos Locos.
