We loved this place so much that our family came twice in the same day and we were only in San Angelo for one day! This was our first time trying Thai food and it was truly chef’s kiss. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and made with so much care.
But what made the experience unforgettable was the people. The staff here are incredibly kind. They made us feel like we were coming back home. Warm smiles, genuine conversations, and hospitality you don’t forget.
If you’re looking for amazing food and a place that feels like home, Chang Thai is the spot. Wonderful food, wonderful people, and such an uplifting atmosphere. We’ll be back every time we’re in town.

As a grown man, I’ve never drooled before, but Man, this place is amazing. Starting with the atmosphere, the place smells heavenly. Service is top tier as well, and lastly, the food… words can’t explain what I just put in my mouth… pause. Chang Thai 10/10..Best seafood in San Angelo

Best food. We ordered the sea food boil, and it was amazing. Full of flavor and the sauce for it was the best. So much food but well worth the price !!!

This was by far the best seafood I’ve ever had at any restaurant in San Angelo. The waitresses was very attentive and sweet. Everything was amazing and we can’t wait to come back. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing dinner with a great atmosphere!

Although smaller in size the place packs a big flavor! Parking is adequate for the size of the restaurant . When you enter this location you get a strong sense of the theme they are trying to accomplish with the Asian inspired decor. The restaurant was clean w/ a little bit of organized clutter in some areas. The service was top notch. They have lunch specials that are very affordable. My food was really good. The soup was packed with flavor and just the right temperature. My chicken was crispy and tender. The fried rice was good..no vegetables in it.. two sauces are offered…Ginger and yum yum sauce. the vegetables were perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed that they veggies were all cut to a similar size..that makes it easy to get a variety on the fork. The portion size of the special is appropriate for the price point. The steamed rice was tender and fresh. Overall really good food and service..I recommend you check it out.

My first thought was oh no….i was completely wrong! By FAR amazing food! Friendly staff, so warm and welcoming. We ordered the Drunken noodles and Sriracha chicken. The BEST drunken noodles i have ever had! The place is a hidden treasure. Just a tad bit expensive.

I ordered the à la carte crab boil, which was outstanding. The spice level was perfectly balanced, enhancing the flavor without overwhelming the dish. I also tried the Tom Yum Goong, a rich and hearty soup that truly hit the spot. Next time, I’ll be more adventurous and opt for level 2 spice, but I added pho noodles to it this time, which made it absolutely perfect.
Another standout was the strawberry cream Thai tea—an absolute must-try! I’d give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could.
Overall, if you’re considering trying Chang Thai, I wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s a dining experience well worth your time.”

Super great place!! Loved the atmosphere, the food was amazing! Green Curry is the way to go! Jasmine was awesome and gave us the run down. Definitely coming back!
