Also, the loving workers here treat you like family. Nostalgia to just see them talk to the locals in toishan and Cantonese.
The owner was so sweet and remembered us all 4 times we visited in 2 days. Unlike some coffee shops, he didn’t make a fuss about me asking for no ice, nor did he charge for no ice.
Unfortunately, we were too full to try the food, but we continued to return for the coffee. On one of our coffee visits, he brought out a noodle to show us why his noodles are so popular, great sense of humor!! He has a lot of pictures on the wall, with other customers, which adds a cute, homely touch to the place.
There are a few stools available, but it’s not really a “take your time dining” type place.
Would I return? OF COURSE! I regret not trying one of his dishes, but plan to the next time I visit NY.
They’re open early so it’s literally the perfect breakfast. Like who DOESNT want rolled rice noodles with 4 sauces and curry fish balls at 8am on a Saturday?! My dream Saturday morning.
A small A1 was a good size for a small meal for 1 person. Maybe for some people it would be a snack? Good breakfast size, if you my vibes.
The HK milk tea was good and not too sweet. Could be a bit stronger.
Great gluten free option.
There’s some space to sit inside.
It is always full, and the service is good and fast. As for the flavour, it could be better, and in fact there are better places in the surrounding area.
hearty, affordable, filling, fresh – there’s nothing but good things to say about this establishment. there is no seating, but be sure to add this to your food crawl and support true local new yorkers.
