Recently visited this small hole-in-the-wall spot in Allen, Chandigarh Bites, for dinner, and it truly delivers authentic Punjabi food with homely warmth. From quick service to bold, traditional flavors, everything felt comforting and satisfying.

We started with the tandoori malai soya chaap, which was incredibly flavorful—perfectly cooked with that classic tandoor smokiness and well-balanced spices. The paneer paratha, topped with a generous dollop of fresh white butter, was outstanding. They were kind enough to make it mild for our kid, which we really appreciated.

The kulcha chole was another highlight. The kulcha was soft and fluffy, and paired beautifully with the chole. The imli-pyaaz ki chutney on the side tied everything together perfectly.

Service was fast, the food arrived hot, and the meal hit just right on a cozy winter evening. Since it’s a small place, the wait can be long—definitely recommend going early.

As a North Indian food fan, this is easily going to be my go-to spot for good Punjabi food. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!

Absolutely loved our experience at Chandigarh bites in Allen, Texas! We ordered kulcha chole, makki di roti & saag, tea, and papdi chaat. The kulcha chole and makki di roti with saag were a solid 10/10 — incredibly authentic and full of flavor, just like back home. The tea was perfect as well.

The papdi chaat was around 7/10, but honestly, that’s only because the rest of the food was so authentic and outstanding that it completely stole the spotlight.

Portion sizes and quality were beyond expectations, and the customer service was exceptional — warm, welcoming, and attentive. This is definitely going to be one of our regular spots. Highly recommend!

Great service! Really humble people. Served great food and gave every request of ours. The food took me back to my roots. Just 2 recommendations- the Lemon soda sweet and salty did have a little too much sugar but that can easily be fixed, and the chaap could use some more work. However, food was great. Portion sizes were good too. Dessert was amazing. When we walked in, all tables were full, however we were treated with utmost care and got seated fast. Would recommend this place!

We decided on a Sunday evening whim that we wanted to try authentic Punjabi dishes and one name kept popping up in our Google searches – Chandigarh Bites.

So we decided to drive all the way to Allen to give it a try.

First some not so good : the place is hole in the wall and seating for dining is very limited and on the extremely cold nights like it was on the eve we went , there were very few corners inside where you could not feel the draft !

But once you got over this, everything else is wonderful!

We decided to order – to go and though they were flooded with customers and orders over the phone, they did get us our order in quick time!

The wait staff was very courteous and every customer was treated pleasantly and with respect.

Now about the food they serve : true blue Punjabi fare from the City of Chandigarh in India, focusing on snack items and popular dishes like Choley Poori/ Bhatura and similar items. They do make non veg dishes and regular main meal dishes as well and every dish is made fresh and has the most authentic taste and flavor!

We tried their veg items this time but plan to revisit soon to try out their non veg dishes separately.

Prices are slightly steep but given the quality and quantity, the food served here is great value for money !

Oh and they also do catering to parties at home and we could see the owner discussing details of a catering for birthday party very intently with a potential customer.

Do try them one, dine in or takeout or catering for a party , veg or non veg, snacks items or for lunch or dinner, you will come back for more!

I treated my friends here for my birthday — and being Punjabi, I just had to try it! The place has a nice concept, but space is limited, so it can’t handle large crowds. We had to wait around 30 minutes for a table even though it was lunchtime, so definitely plan ahead — this isn’t a quick grab-and-eat spot, especially on weekends.

The service was quite slow, possibly due to limited staff or just a busy day. Ambience-wise, it’s fairly average, but the food presentation looked great and appetizing. Taste-wise, it was a mixed experience — most dishes were overly salty.

We really enjoyed the Amritsari Fish — flavorful and well-cooked. The Naans were soft and fresh, and the Lachha Paratha was okay, though I’d have loved more layers and flakiness. The Saag was decent, but the Mutton and even the Lassi were unfortunately too salty.

Overall, it’s a decent experience if you’re craving Punjabi flavors, but there’s definitely room for improvement in taste balance and service speed.

I visited Chandigarh Bites during a work trip to Texas and had a great experience. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Pannu, Yash, Sonal, Sourav, and Chef Sarjit (apologies if I mispronounced your name) for their warm hospitality.

After a long time, I finally enjoyed authentic Punjabi food. I tried the Amritsari Chole with Kulcha and later the vegetarian lunch thali — both were fresh, full of flavor, and truly satisfying.

If you are looking for real Punjabi Indian food, this is the place to visit. Friendly people, welcoming service, and food that speaks for itself. I wish the team all the best and hope to see this restaurant succeed.

I was excited to try Punjabi food close to me, but after reading the reviews set my expectations low and went with safer bet of Amritsari kulcha and Chana bhature.

The kulcha and bhature was good, but channa was so off and killed both the dishes. Looks like it was made using MDH masala instead of home made masala. Also the quantity of channa curry is way less for the price.

Looks to be a family owned shop, hope they take the critique in positive way and improve

Lovely food and good service made this place worthwhile. While the seating space is limited, the food makes up for the wait. We loved the Amritsari Kulcha, the daal, the garlic Naans. The roti should have had a bit more salt and we wished the glass of lassi were served full. Some combos are totally worth.

I recently visited Chandigarh Bites and tried the Amritsari Kulcha, Aaloo Paratha, and Mango Lassi. The taste was amazing and had authentic Punjabi flavors — the food is especially delicious with the butter. The restaurant is a bit small with limited seating, so the wait time can be longer. It’s best to reach about 30 minutes early. Overall, great food and worth the visit!
