After a long morning of shopping I love a cold bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at 1130am. Whether you’re a morning mall walker or an early shopper, do yourself a favor and hit up Champps in Eastview Mall. I may be wrong, but I believe the additional P stands for professionaliam.
I walked in expecting another dull experience at an over-hyped sports bar.
I was wrong. This restaurant was a great casual dining experience.
I bellied up at the very large bar and had my drink lickety split. They have a menu that will suit a nice range of tastes. I opted for a craser side salad and the blackened chicken Alfredo. I was very happy with my selection.
The salad was crisp and had the correct amount dressing (not the oily mess that can happen sometimes). The croutons we nice and crunchy, which I love. The Alfredo sauce was smooth, with a piquant hint of garlic. The chicken was moist and flavorful, with a tangy pepper crust. I had a lovely little lunch.
The real key to Champps’, the “secret sauce” is not the great menu, delicious food or wallet pleasing drink specials. It’s the Staff.
Ms. Katie, the bartender is a bright, intelligent ball of energy. I believe she’s been with the company for well over a decade, and if they could clone her, or otherwise bottle her enthusiasm, salesmanship and understanding of her role in a customer experience, this company would dominate the casual dining industry. Hit up Champps for a lite lunch today, I bet you’ll be happy.

This is our go-to restaurant with our hungry kids. We always love the food and the mile high ice cream cake is a must for birthday celebrations! We’ve never had to wait to be seated and our food always comes out super quick.

I went to Champps in Victor, NY on Valentines night and was surprisingly a pleasant experience. We had reservations at P.F. Changs, so we dropped by Champps for some drinks while we waited. The staff was very accommodating on a busy night. We sat at the bar, had some drinks, watched the dunk contest on TV and had a few laughs. What else can you ask for. Overall great experience. Wild love to visit again soon. The ambience is perfect for families and big group.

The food here was great and the staff was friendly. I was with a larger party and we all got a variety of food. Everyone enjoyed their food. The drinks here were a more corporate style of drink not a higher end bar style. The menu has a large variety of food including seafood and there is a price point for everyone. The atmosphere feels a little dated, but definitely a clean restaurant. I would visit again.

10/12/24: Our waitress was top-notch! Friendly, attentive, intelligent! Fast. You can’t beat great service! The Impossible Burger & fries were so tasty! Cooked great! Excellent bun, too. The fries were crispy . The pretzel sticks had a great crust on them. Good cheese & good red sauces.

Great atmosphere and a very family-friendly experience. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly, which was a huge plus since I was dining with two toddlers. Everything ran smoothly, and we really enjoyed our visit. Would definitely come back.

We went here for lunch today. It was a very good experience. Our server was extremely nice and our food was great. It is a bit in the too expensive side for what it is though. We started with the appetizer sampler which had mozzarella sticks, loaded potatoe skins, boneless wings and pretzel sticks with the accompanying dips and sauce. For our meals I had the crispy shrimp tacos and my wife had the Philly cheesesteak. Both were amazing. I recommend this place anytime as long as you’re willing to spend more than you normally would on this type of place.

I ate here and was not excited about the prospect of eating in a sports bar, as most have a ton of beer and TVs but not very good food. Boy, Was I WRONG! I LOVE sandwiches, and have eaten so many that I considered opening my own sandwich shop featuring the best 5 sandwiches in the world. If I ever do, one of Champps will be on the menu. Champps makes a cheeseburger/grilled cheese hybrid with bacon that is absolutely spectacular. If you are in Rochester(or Buffalo or Syracuse) it is worth the drive. Best sandwich ever? Possible! Services/atmosphere are excellent as well.

The food was delicious. The potato skins are so good and the Mile High Ice Cream Pie was HUGE! Autumn was friendly and efficient. We really liked being seated at a round table so we could all talk to each other. (There were five in our party.) The music was a hit, too.

Arriving at 5:30 on a Friday night to find only a few customers was the first red flag. Service was good, but of course there was no one there. Food was awful. Burger was McDonalds level for 20+ bucks. Alfredo was just edible. Vodka pasta was the worst thing ever. Tasted like a canned cheese sauce with a bad after taste. This opinion was shared by multiple people in our group. How can you screw up vodka sauce, if you think its cheese sauce maybe you should not be cooking.
