They’re great at what they do. I get something different Everytime and am never disappointed. Only complaint is I wish there was more standing/sitting room.
Update: They do have an additional location in Roanoke we visit now that has plenty of seating and all the same yummy treats! No reason to not visit now 😀

Delicious! It reminds me of a crepe…only an ice cream crepe. Also, it does not melt super fast. The chocolate peanut butter was great and so was the memba berries. We made the detour (1 1/2 miles) from the interstate, and it didn’t disappoint. And just for fun, the spoons change color with the cold.

Small and cute store with friendly staff. The ice cream is delicious, and there are so many flavors and toppings to choose from. You can watch the staff roll the ice cream from your table. One of the staff messed up rolling the ice cream making our order, and they made it again for free without even asking us!

This was our 4th time coming here, 2 of the times they were closed even though the business hours on Google, the website, and the door all said it was regular open hours.
I attempted to call 3 times before making the trip today to make sure they were open but no one answered.
The ice cream is pretty good and fun to watch being made, but the one employee here both times had such a bad attitude, downright rude even, and we have no idea why.
Going to make the further out drive and try out the Tanglewood location next time, hopefully they’re nicer.

Champloo Desserts is a fantastic little “hole-in-the-wall” shop that sells a delicious assortment of handmade ice creams. They have a large menu of ranging options, from simple vanilla or chocolate to exquisite flavors like Mango with Tango or Mint Everest – both which I highly recommend. There are even coffee and tea flavored ice cream dishes. Anything that you buy is sure to satiate that sweet tooth.
The staff are friendly from the moment you walk in the door. It is great to be able to see your purchase being made right infront of you on the slabs of ice with only spatulas. I was extremely absorbed in what the workers were doing that I didn’t even mind the slight wait.
The ice cream is delicious, rich in flavor, and smooth in texture, and the toppings vary from classics like walnuts and sprinkles to the more daring like green tea pocky and York Mint. The amount that you get for your buck is definitely worth it.
If ice cream isn’t your thing, Champloo Desserts also has delicious drinks like Boba tea in many flavors or frozen lemonade – they also have French Pressed Coffee.
The best part of Champloo Desserts? Nothing is over $6.00! I highly recommend that anyone in the Salem area visit this place at least once.

Dessert AND a show! The rolled ice cream is tasty and it’s absolutely entertaining to watch these guys make everything from scratch! (And it’s also pretty awesome that the spoons change color when they get cold!)
