Great club. It was my first time here, I came with a friend and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere feels truly American — people laughing, drinking, having fun. Very unique vibe. I definitely recommend stopping by to hang out.

was leaving the bar after having a single beer on my 21st bday and was pushed and called boy by his security. his exact words were “get out of my way boy”. i was walking on the sidewalk by myself in front of the bar going to my vehicle to go home not bothering anybody. I told him please don’t touch me or call me boy and he went on a power trip then allowed 3-4 people in his gang to assault and beat me until i was on the floor almost unconscious.

Tldr: reported customers grotesque behavior, bouncer told me to leave.
At aprox 6pm tonight I entered the establishment with another female for drinks and pool. The bartenders were attentive, prompt and accurate. Around 8pm 3 men walked in and made sexual remarks to me and my cousin, I reported this to a bartender who relayed this to a bouncer named Josh, aprox 6’1, 30s, with dirty blonde scruff wearing a champions company tshirt and size 12 ariats. Bouncer approached the regulars FATHER to tell him his son was causing a scene, at which point this man stated his son did nothing wrong. I was standing less than 4 feet away hearing their entire conversation. The bouncer never asked me what happened. When I interrupted their conversation to take this bouncer outside for a private discussion, he told me “If you’re uncomfortable with how many people are in this bar, you need to leave. Its only gonna get worse for you as the night goes on.” Mind you, the 3 patrons I complained about, harassed us verbally and physically making sexual jokes, gestures, and standing behind us while attempting to pool. When asked to sit at their table, they replied “we dont answer to you, go somewhere else”. I notified the bouncer and he told me to leave. I closed my tab with my bartender and notified them of the bouncers actions. The bartender said hes sorry and “the next round will be on me.” I left immediately. Ive never felt so uncomfortable and unprotected in an establishment. The bbb has been notified and I hope a change will be made to this establishment. I plan on speaking with the manager asap to see what training exercises can be implemented to help the bartenders and bouncers protect vulnerable patrons in their establishment regardless of race age or ethnicity.

Ive been a long time customer at champs and i can say after tonight i highly doubt i will ever go back. We were playing darts for my cousins birthday and an OLD WORKER decided to punch him in the back of the head and the workers did nothing about it. They told us the only options we had were to file a police report or they could put him on a “small break” from entering the bar. This is absolutely unacceptable and I can say that there will be a group of people who will probably never step foot in there again. If I could give them a 0 I would. No compensation for anything and we left right after we had been spending money on not only drinks but darts that we never even got to play because of the situation (everything was paid in full still). The old employee also left as soon as we got outside to talk to officers because he knew he was in the wrong. Overall just absolutely disgusting and disappointed with champs

Came here for a few drinks and darts. It was an early Thursday evening, so the place was not busy. Our group played a few games of darts and had a great time while listening to the jukebox!

Want to shoot some pool but darts take precedence and felt like the tables were pushed against the wall. Aside from that, the staff was very friendly!

Champions is a great dive bar. Definitely gets crowded but the bartenders are all on top of their game and get you drinks quickly. One of my fave bars!

From my personal experience, Champions has the most phenomenal pizza in the east valley. The flavors extend well beyond my palate, and while I have every intention to explore the flavors of Arizona, I am absolutely engorged with my experience to date. I personally recommend the supreme – made fresh daily, specifically paired with the house special Jägertini.
