The wait at the table with no menu and no greeting by a server was even longer. I noticed that at least two other customers who came were waiting similarly long times to even be acknowledged.
When a server finally arrived, she was polite and apologized for the long wait. I ordered the New York Strip with steamed vegetables and potato salad (see photo).
My steak was delivered to the table with no steak knife. I waited a while to ask for one but the server never came back out before I had to decide to use the butter knife on the table or keep waiting and eat a cold steak.
After all the excessive waiting for everything, my drink was empty. The only time the server reappeared was to put the check on the table in the middle of my meal. I asked for a drink refill then.
The check included a credit card convenience fee despite the fact that I was paying with cash. When I requested to have the fee removed it was — but only after I asked.
The food was decent. Since the service was so bad, I expected the food to be similarly bad. Nevertheless, the steak and vegetables were fine. The potato salad was bland and seemed slightly undercooked.
On a better note, the decor is nice, jukebox playing and multiple pool tables.
There’s not much staff out since its not very active is my guess. Though once someone was finally able to come, I was treated very fairly. You go to the hostess stand to order actual food (10-20 a person depending on what you get, the pasta I ordered was actually 30 bucks) on a menu given. It’s mostly burgers, fried food, pizza, pasta, that kind of thing. Kids menu too!
They unfortunately didn’t have change for my 100 at the tether, but the hostess was very determined to be able to help and ran around to get it, bless her heart. Wish I got her name.
All in all, as someone who has worked in the food business, very great vibes that they’re doing their best for having so little staff. Keep it up!
The kind waitress is the only saving grace in here.
