This place is a must-try! We recently moved here from Alaska and asked the staff for their recommendation—they suggested the bacon cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint. The burger was huge, fresh, and packed with flavor, topped with thick, perfectly crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of sauce.

The setup is simple and convenient: pull up, walk to the window, place your order, and within minutes your food is hot and ready to go. While we waited, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—we even ended up sharing a few photos from Alaska!

Great prices, fast service, and outstanding burgers. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Good home style burger. They’re huge! I’m glad my bf got me the single because there was no way I’d be able to finish the double. Overall delicious. The reason I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because the mushroom Swiss burger has canned mushrooms or mushrooms with the same consistency on it (I qualify that as a crime) and the chili cheese fries were a little lacking on the cheese. It was all centered right there on the top. Onion rings were fire. I’m also glad they finally take card! I’ll def try them again.

The Working Man’s burger indeed. Champ Burger has been around for 60 years, an old school burger joint with history. I ordered a double cheeseburger and it was all I ever needed. Structurally sound, not a monstrosity cooked up in a food lab, but a working man’s burger, no fancy toppings, well ground beef and thoroughly melted cheese. A great traditional burger. My soul was filled and hunger fulfilled. Will be coming back to this joint.

Drove by this place and knew it had to be good, once I checked the reviews and learned about the 60 year history, I knew I had to give it a shot.

When we arrived, we were met with a friendly staff even with a long line during the lunch rush.

Our burgers came out within 10 minutes, fresh off the grill along with fresh cut and fried fries.
There is no inside dining, but a very nice courtyard area with plenty of shade.

Definitely worth a visit, I’ll definitely be back!

Although, there was a line, it did go very quickly. The burger and fries were delicious and fresh! There is also an outside patio where you can sit and eat. I would definitely eat here again.

One of the coolest old school burger joints I have ever been to. Family owned and operated for 60 years, nice patio to sit in and the burgers and milkshakes are REALLY Good. Parking is in street and you may have to loop around once, but it it totally worth it for this wonderful family owned spot!

Is this the best burger in EADO? I think it just might be. I’m not talking smash or slider, but a traditional burger. You get a solid bun to hold everything together; your 1/3 lb beef burger that is properly seasoned not too much to taste the beef, standard lettuce/tomato/pickle/onion (an all American classic) I added cheese and bacon. The combination of flavors is perfect. Everything I want from a burger and it’s a good size! I also got the onion rings which were great. Not too big and plenty of them. Had a perfect continuous batter wrapped around every ring, not that barely there batter that falls off as you’re trying to eat it. Price is fair for the times we live in. Hot and fresh, made to order. Depending on how busy they are or if there’s a line, could be 5-15 minutes. But they are cranking them out. They’ve got a “back-yard” seating area that has some cover so even in the dead of summer it’s not bad.

Finally another Houston staple crossed off my list. My husband and I stopped by during lunch hour on a Wednesday. Although the line was long, it moved fairly quickly. The customer service is great, very friendly and the gentleman who took our order was soft spoken and patient. They had a daily special for under $20 which included a burger, fries and drink. We decided to go with a “Jalapeno Cheeseburger”, chilli cheese fries and drink. We waited probably about 5-7 minutes for our food. They have outside seating available, some tables underneath a covered area and tables with umbrellas, but since it was raining, and no room available in the covered area, we ate in our vehicle. Our burgers were seasoned to perfection and veggies were fresh. I’m not a fan of diced/chopped lettuce and would have preferred a whole leaf instead. Mustard was missing from our burgers. Not their fault as we didn’t ask if they offered. My plain fries were hot and fresh. The chilli cheese fries were good, my husband’s only complaint was the cheese. Looks like it’s shredded melted cheese instead of nacho cheese which he prefers, but they were still good. We definitely will stop by again as the burgers did not disappoint.

Champ burger is authentic and a good home made burger with fries. Tastes like Whataburger before they sold out to private equity! All around great place, quick service, mom & pop, eat local.

They also do not cook in peanut oil, so if you have a peanut allergy you can eat here worry free.
