The staff are very thoughtful and efficient. They even take your order while you’re waiting outside, so once you sit down, the food comes out almost immediately with no extra waiting.
Every bite made me go “wow.” It was so good that I honestly think the tendon here was even better than the one I had in Tokyo. The ingredients tasted fresh, hot, and like they were fried in clean oil. Everything felt very clean and well-prepared. The onigiri was also excellent.
I’d confidently say this is easily one of the Top 3 restaurants in Las Vegas.
Nice little really little place that serves authentic Japanese onigiri and tempura and donburi .
I was little too late to arrive, maybe 12:10, and they opened at 12….
I waited in line to put my name down and I heard the wait time was 45 min.
I couldn’t wait that long today so I decided to get some onigiri and tendon (tempura bowl) to go .
They use rice from Japan
Average onigiri cost $4
Bowls are about $20-50
I really enjoyed it though
Definitely go early before they open if you wanna eat their A5 steak-don or uni ikura -don
Bowl doesn’t seem that big at first , but it filled me up good .
It also came with miso soup.
Snow crab bowl doesn’t include shrimp tempura. (Not a king crab, it’s snow crab)
I can’t wait to eat their food again
The line for the onigiri and eating inside the establish are separate lines! (Onigiri is a physical line outside while the other is a digital line you must sign up for)
The onigiri are well done and reminds me so much of the delicious ones I’ve eaten in Japan, personally there wasn’t any I dislike but I know for sure I’d go for the Chashu Naruto (pork) and unagi sansho (grilled eel) again.
The taste is W O W! Sends me straight back to Japan when I got to spend $$ at restaurants that specializes in tempura bowls. This was super worth the wait (we waited around a little over 1 hour).
We got their Original Negitoro Ikura + Snow crab and the A5 Wagyu Steak Tempura. There’s no human words to describe the delicious flavor punches and the songs my tongue was singing from the food. I ate every last grain. I did feel a little rush eating my food so fast since there was people waiting but I also inhaled my food fast from the deliciousness. The way the beef melts in your mouth is also 10/10 perfect.
Service – Wow, the front end employees handle the customer service so well from the onigiri line to the in-restaurant line. All the way from signing up to checking out. And the back end employees move with such smoothness too.
Bathroom – Yes
I also ordered the A5 Wagyu set, and you can tell everything is fried at the perfect timing. True professionals. The egg tempura was especially memorable — I’ve never experienced that kind of texture before!
We also took some onigiri to go. The rice was perfectly chewy and the seaweed had a wonderful aroma — you can tell they really care about the ingredients.
The only minor downside was that the drinks were served in paper cups, which felt a bit out of place compared to the overall dining experience.
Overall, a fantastic meal and I would definitely come back!
The service is excellent. The servers are very attentive. I was very pregnant when I visited, and they noticed right away. They carefully explained the set to me (including the fried egg with a runny yolk) and made sure everything was safe for me to eat, which I really appreciated.
I also ordered a hojicha latte — it’s not too sweet, and the tea flavor is well-balanced and comforting.
Besides dining in, I bought some onigiri for my baby. They’re delicious too. Just make sure to finish them as soon as possible and avoid storing them in the fridge overnight, as the rice tends to stiffen up.
Overall, please go ahead and try everything in Chamon!
They have little musubi-like snacks to go. Those were good too.
I’m a little torn. The kid loved the tempura. Me not so much but I’m also not a big fan of tempura. The food filled me up way too fast. Maybe the rice was heavy. I literally only had the 2 tempura veggies and the kid had 1 of 2 tempura shrimp on our dish, she was full after that. She liked the eel onigiri.
I felt rushed too, I don’t know why given that they were closing at 3pm and it was 230 and no one was waiting to be seated with 1 table open. The waiter, after 10mins of our food being served asked me if I’d want our food boxed. If you see me eating and my kid chewing and drinking her soup, DON’T ask me if I need my food boxed. So annoying!!!
They only have 3 tables for indoor-dining, so you’ll have to come super early to dine-in.
The variety of onigiri they have is astounding, and amazing! Would definitely come again!
