Chef’s counter here is a must. I had been seeing a lot of hype about this place on social media and randomly snagged a reservation not realizing what a special experience I was walking in to. We tried most of their popular dishes the hiramasa, castelfranco, farfelle, snowdance chicken, and fingerling potatoes. My favorite by far was the hiramasa but all the dishes were quite wonderful. For dessert we got the chocolate basque cheesecake. I was really impressed by how well it paired with the sweet cream on the plate (we wished there were more)!

Now the wine was just incredible. To which the master sommelier, Pascaline Lepeltier, deserves all the praise in the world. She is the sweetest woman, I mean she entertained my attempt at speaking French so graciously. But seriously, she knows what is up. She truly picked out the perfect wine based on our request, which was a bottle from Domaine de la Bergerie, Sous la Tonnelle.

We really enjoyed watching the magic in the kitchen and asking questions to the chef right in front of us. Unforgettable, 100% worth a visit.

An excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the wine list is top notch, with plenty of thoughtful pairing options. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, which made the evening feel seamless and special. We had a wonderful time and plan to return soon!

This dinner was a night to remember! From the food and wine, to service and atmosphere… Every moment, every bite, every sip was to be savored and an experience in itself. The food was some of the best you’ll find in the city, cooked to perfection. Our server, Ivan, took excellent care of us. But the star of the evening was Sommelier, Pascaline Lepeltier. She easily has the best palate in the world and no one knows wine better than she does. We did a wine pairing with our meal, knowing everything she would bring us would be again, perfection. She did not disappoint and brought so much culture and class to our experience. We appreciated so much learning about everything she brought us and it only made this experience better. One we shall never forget. We finished our time here, having dessert and tea at the bar. Even the tea paired beautifully with our dessert and just like everything else we had all evening, was mind blowingly delicious. We will be sure to visit Chambers and Pascaline again on our next visit.

4.5 really.
Really tasty food, ordered a la carte. Slightly unusual tastes, but they worked well.
Friendly staff. Fun ambience.

Slightly odd wine pairing experience: the staff clearly took a lot of care about testing the wines were ok, but struggled a bit to explain why their recommendations matched the food.

Loved it! Food was excellent as were the cocktails. Server was great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Nice setting and for an early-ish reservation at 6 it wasn’t too loud and we could talk. The bay leaf ice cream dessert with a splash of Tokay over it was amazing as was the mascarpone.

Everything was delicious. It is rare to have a consistent delicious menu. We loved the bread, started, entrees and dessert! We got the beets, chicken, fatale and mascarpone for dessert and everything was so good! Great service and ambiance!

Sarku Japan is located at 77 Chambers Street, Lower Manhattan, New York
I have personally tried their foods on two occasions (Orlando International Premium outlets & Chambers Street)
such as Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken + Shrimp & Chicken Bento. They serve it well like a quick meal and express service. Nice and good presentation. They have varieties of stuff for your pick.

What an incredible evening! Can’t say enough good things about Chambers except we can’t wait to go back!!

It all started with my call to the maitre d’ when we realized we were going to need a later dinner time. He was incredibly accommodating and asked me if the new booking would work for us. Wow.

We sat at the bar and loved every minute of it. Brian, the head bartender, and his colleague worked like a dream- creating dreamy creative cocktails and giving thoughts on menu selections. Quite the balance and they did it perfectly!

The food was to die for (thanks to the bartenders’ recs but as we soon realized you can’t go wrong with anything there!)! The flavors were second to none- creative yet not taking away from the true taste of the food itself too.

The energy at Chambers is one I will always remember and why I love New York so much! The staff, the customers, the food and drink, the service, and the music- it was the best!! Thank you!

I was able to get a bar seat as a walk in. The food menu is small but mighty as it is a wine focused spot. My servers (the wonderful bartenders) helped to guide my experience with their experience of their recommendations. I don’t usually get chicken when eating out but this snow dance chicken was worth it. The hiramasa was great to start with. They have a good collection of low / non alcoholic beverages if a friend is into that. I enjoyed the ginger beer I started with, and deeply enjoyed the actual wine I chose with my meal. The bread was great (complimentary when you order food).
I did notice that my server gave me a complimentary half pour of wine since my entree was coming out later than expected. I truly appreciated it especially since I didn’t mention it at all.
Overall a fine choice to have and I would recommend it

Update: after writing this review, the restaurant comped my entire meal. Apparently they had a problem with overbooking (too many customers arriving too quickly for whatever reason). So I upped my rating a bit, since the management is clearly trying to make amends. So don’t not go because of this review….

The sweetbreads were first-rate, nicely charred but not overcooked, though the accompanying sauerkraut was a bit too bracingly acidic for my taste; I did like the turnips. The included focaccia was fine but unmemorable (sesame pizza bianca? What?) The servers (bartenders) were great, happily letting me taste many of the wines-by-the glass on the menu. The problem was the pasta (with walnut/marjoram sauce). It took more than an hour to arrive after ordering; a full 45 minutes after the appetizer. Customers on both sides of me were finished before I got served, despite my ordering first. (“The kitchen got slammed with all the orders” in a restaurant that was at most half full.) To the restaurant’s credit; they did comp the pasta, and the servers were generous about refilling my wine while I waited. Unfortunately the pasta is not something that I would order again; marjoram was overly prominent, actually overwhelming; the pasta itself was excellent, as was the cheese, but the walnut sauce itself was rather dull. My neighbors at the bar did seem very happy with the chicken. BTW the wine list is awesome,.
