Had a couple of dishes here, the escargots were wonderful. The sushi was completely mediocre, on the other hand. Didn’t seem like the rice was seasoned – so, technically not sushi. Service was warm and friendly. I’ll give the bartender a pass for blaming the 2007 recession on someone who didn’t assume office until 2009; perhaps the education system in the mountains is not so good.

Usually have a good experience at the Chalet.On this occasion we tried the Kabob special at $39. Although there was a good amount of food plated the meat was very poor quality. Very sinewy and fat.

This was our 2nd time here at the Chalet, wife and I enjoyed the casual atmosphere. We felt transported somewhere on the upper East Coast, the nautical decor was a nice surprise on the mountain. My wife had the scallops and pasta, the scallops were juicy and cooked perfectly, the pasta and sauce were delicious. I had the blackened Catfish, the fish was moist and not over seasoned. The next time my wife had the Filet and it was tender and delicious, I choose the try the sushi, was bit disappointed. Definitely a place to go back to for Date Night!

Came in for the fish fry and wow! Excellent tempura-type beer batter cooked to perfection! Also ordered a cheeseburger that had the best flavor-beef at it’s finest. The cheddar was robust and the garnishes fresh. All the help had smiles that went along with the excellent service. A daily early-bird special will have me coming back to try the rest of the menu-Cheers!
