Great people, great food and a great atmosphere! Nice spot to stop on your way across highway 42 going west to the coast or east to Winston & Roseburg. You can grab and go or dine in. It’s also a mini grocery store for you convenient items. If fancy coffee is your scene, then grab a cappuccino or latte. Do not miss this nice little stop no matter which direction you’re headed in the world.

The Chalet is a nice little stop in Camas Valley if you are headed to the coast. It can get a little busy when the school next door let’s out for lunch but not terrible. Their meal options are pretty good. You can get something out of the hot case if you are in a hurry or if you have time their sandwiches are quite good and they have alot of other options like any other deli. The people who work there are all pretty awesome always happy to help. One of my favorite places to stop when I am headed that way.

This place is adorable! Visited for the first time yesterday and we will definitely be back. The food from the hot case was yummy and can be made to order (along with other items). The house made ranch is the best I’ve ever had!

DO NOT EVER ORDER A BURGER!!!
This was not a beef burger, I don’t think this had any meat of any kind in it. It was microwaved, and still cold loaded with mustard, probably so you might not taste how awful it was. I paid $10.25 for a cheeseburger, nothing extra no French fries, or anything else. I could not eat this, although I tried. If they are going to charge that amount for a burger, it would be nice if it was real meat! This is what I imagine cheap canned dog food formed into a burger would taste like.

Hidden gem I’ve missed passing through the area in the past. Cheeseburger was simple and tasty! The homemade ranch dipping sauce was awesome too, my only regret is I didn’t finish lunch with one of the yummy looking desserts. Great service all the way around.

My father-in-law bought burgers for my kids and brought them home, and they look like they are 2 days old , squishy and slimy tomatoes, wilted lettuce, and a gray looking burger.

Having missed the former restaurant at this location after it closed down we were delighted to see a new cleaner sharper place open here. The menu is more limited but they still do cookies and bake cakes. Plus made to order or grab n go sandwiches and hot specials daily. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. The restrooms (for customers) are clean, which is a big improvement, and the cozy back room with a few tables had a big screen TV with a fireplace playing. The pulled pork and coleslaw were homemade and excellent, as was the burger. Pricing is very reasonable and the long hours (8am to 9 pm daily) make this an easy and conveniently great stop on the way to or from the coast on an otherwise pretty inhospitable road. The snack assortment and cold drinks coolers have a huge selection as well. Make it a point to stop and try this place. If enough of us do that they will prosper and remain open for us. You won’t regret it. We certainly didn’t.

This place is AMAZING! Treat yourself to a stop here while passing through Camas Valley! You won’t be disappointed! Made to order burgers and such, daily specials (taco Tuesday ), made to order specialty coffees, and everything else you can imagine from the very large convenience store side! This place makes me wish I lived in Camas Valley!

Cute place, and good food too. Stopped by for the first time Tuesday morning and I’ll definitely be returning. The staff is super kind and welcoming, except for one girl in a green hoodie who definitely had some attitude. But everyone else was super nice and its a great atmosphere.

Stopped in for a snack and restroom break on Hwy 42. Amazing fresh apple pie, better than Mother’s! Hubby had a carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese icing, also very fresh and good. Restrooms (for customers only) were clean and tidy. Surprisingly good experience.
